There! One day I hope. BUT ... and here's the rub - I also feel that ideas don't work unless we do so I will carry on working my socks off and looking for every opportunity to beat down that debt. Slowly slowly but

By the way, has anyone looked at Paul McKenna's books about applying positive thinking to life situations? Lots of interesting and motivating comments in those books too which can be applied to this situation and more generally. The glass is half full, not half empty.

Just in case the law of sod is planning on making an appearance this is not to be the annual poxy 2% rise but a substantially above inflation - 'we value your hard work and increased responsibility' type payrise.

Oh- and preferably within the next couple of months.

I can't remember where I read it (could be Louise Hey or one of the many other 'self help' books I have acquired.....), but I think your 'mantra' should be 'I am debt free'.......in the now.......'I will be' means its off in the future somewhere.....which I know it is.....but your brain doesn't need to know that....:p

I think Paul McKenna is fab.....got some of his cd's ........have insomnia...put one of them on.........sleep like a baby.....so relaxed........I know that's not the point of them..........but it works for me!

I did get the book with the cd, is it Change Your Life or something.....can't remember the title....it's not were it's supposed to be:o .....(must sort these books out).....must start reading them too:rolleyes: anyway, I think the cd's knackered, so I will have to find another copy.....I thought the cd was really good too.

I have been chanting this to myself since reading it yesterday. Playing poker online, I managed to win a few cents here and there. Then I won £2 on the new lottery game. And I have just this minute finished an hour long poker game, in which I came third and won $92!!!!

    I am converted

Sorry, I have a cold so my postings are not up to my usual intellectual standard. I am sure normal service, based on my 1st class hons degree paid for by my own hard work, will soon be resumed:confused:
Pleased to hear that ,get well soon
