Sorry to bog you down with grammatical semantics, but shouldn't it be a hyphen and not a comma?

Read this with interest. I find I am very negative so will try to give this a go.

Can anyone recommend a book about the power of positive thought?

    Louise Hay books.

No. No. You can't have negatives in your postive affirmations.

"I will not have a hangover tomorrow". NOT is a negative.

    "I will drink alcohol until I don't care I can't stop sneezing". DON'T and CAN'T are negatives.

Ok. My understanding is that your statements have to be positive in every word - so e.g. "I am open and receptive to the perfect job for me." If you said "I don't want to stack shelves in a supermarket", then the block is put in. The universe has to know what you are asking for, not what you don't want. But this is just my stance on it guys.

Money is coming easily to me.

I shall carry on, with 5 birhtday cards and presents and 1 good luck card to buy today, I do really need the money. God help me.

Ah yes, I forgot that bit! Saying that I didn't have a hangover this morning but that might have more to do with me drinking diet coke last night as the wine just didn't appeal!

I'll go back to 'money is coming easily to me and all my DFW buddies!'

this is interesting - am going to try it too. Sounds a it like what 'How to get out of debt, stay our of debt and live prosperously'(Jerrold Mundis) states too - that we have to be in an open and positive frame of mind to be aware of all the opportunities available to us. I will be repeating the mantra today! :)

This is so true. Have posted this elsewhere but not the outcome:
I too have been reading about lucky people - they are obv very sought after!!! OK, load of people asked to rate themselves as to how lucky they think they are, given a score. Then given a list of popular surnames and told to count how many people with these names they knew. Result - those with highest luck score knew the most people. Theory - the more people you know (cultivate, network, seek out etc) the more 'luck' i.e. opportunities come your way.

Inspired by this I started to have proper converaations with people I met rather than just hello - 2 days later I stopped to talk to a woman I worked with 20 yrs ago. I mentioned my son was looking for a job as he was taking a year out of uni - the next day she phoned to say her office were looking for someone. He applied - and didn't get it - got offered a better one instead!!!!! (still only junior clerical, but 1.5k more). He wouldn't have found out about it otherwise as closing date was before he came back from uni.

So - was it luck - yes, lucky I saw her, but the real opportunity arose because I 'networked'.

So come on peeps - get out there and get lucky!!!!
