Stick a carrier bag in your pocket and bag it, just like dog owners are expected to do. It's not rocket science.

Thank you for the pointer to the post. Will look in a sec.

Now your solution is great, but what do I do with the bag full of horse poo? I use both of my hands to remain in full control of my horse. It is unsafe to ride for miles one-handed. My toff-like teeth (;)) aren't strong enough to hold it. My (safe in traffic) horse would have a heart attack at the thing bumping on his side all the time.

However, I think the solution I posted before would probably be most acceptable and practical: for me (the rider) to dismount and kick it into the road or hedge. That is, as long as I could do so without causing a hazard or nuisance to other road users.

  • Well well, what an epic post!

I live in a very rural area and the majority of people here have lived in the countryside all their lives and know how to treat horse riders on the roads. I own my own stables and fields and often ride in them as well as using the roads to reach local bridleways. There are a small minority of people who have bought expensive houses or built a massive house on a small plot of land in order to say that they "live in the countryside". There are those who buy what they believe to be "posh" cars as they think it raises them far about us "country yokels". My husband has a good job, working both at home and abroad and owns, like you Mr F, an Audi A4. Unlike you, however, he is a responsible adult, believes in helping out in his local community, keeping alive local amenities and would not dream of driving in a dangerous manner around these country roads. I ride to enjoy fresh air and exercise and can think of nothing better than sharing the "craik" with neighbours who include a number of tractor driving farmers. Mr Fahey, it sounds like you don't like any other road users, probably this extends into your non-vehicular activities too. I feel so sorry for you, can't be good to nurture all this anger. Take a chill pill.

  • And yes, I am a newbie and joined because your post was linked on another forum I was on. Not all horse owners are well mannered I agree, but then as you illustrate so well, not all road users are either.

If they dont get out of the way....they get a Audi within an inch of them

    Years of frustration and delay...!

Yes i think that says just about all that needs to be said, and dont forget about speeding with bald tyres can be even more dangerous.

Why would you want to know my occupation? is that a measure of intelligence,is that how you decide who is clever and who is just an infidel.

    Very petty.

Oh by the way i would tell you my occupation but its classified by the MOD,cbbc, dghk,mi high, abcdefg, and hijllmnop, and cocopops.I would then have to slot you.

I would never judge anyone by their occupation.

If you were unemployed and able to work - well that's another story.

I think we can both agree that was bad.

I know you're not the smartest but even you should have known how lame that joke was - Seriously.

    Put some effort in.

    Well Lahey.

Going by your post count and the times that you made them,i would say travelling to the kitchen and back does not count.

Or are you one of these mobile users who think to themselves that when i get to my destination i must log in and tell it how it is all day?
