Think I might have hit on my big idea - don't want to say too much as it's quite a niche market (nothing dodgy though!), but I'm going to work on it for a while. I'm fine with the products, but I think I'll need a lot of help with the marketing, although I do have a few ideas.

Liz... Pm if you want help.... I might be able to and I promise that I won't steal you idea!!!

That's great Liz! :T I don't think I can be of the slightest bit of help, but there are plenty peeps here who will be I'm sure! Good luck!

I'm really, really annoyed with myself now - cba listing on eBay on Thurs night, figured I'd do it last night, then went out and didn't get back till after midnight, so of course I've missed the free listing! :( Hey ho, lesson learned, next time I need to get my butt in gear!

Has anyone had any joy with putting a reserve on their items? I'm not sure about doing it, but at the same time want to make sure I get the minimum return I want to turn a profit.

Saucy, hope your notebooks are going well!

Munchki, have a great day in Dundee (probs too late as you'll have left by now!) and I think it's brilliant how many ideas everyone has come up with to get you settled up there! Some thinking to be done, but I'll talk with you tomorrow and tell you straight what I think :D

For those of you in Devon and surrounding area - please keep your snow, we're not wanting any up here!!

  • Mambury - no I can't make pretty things to save my life! It won't be all handcrafted.

Shell - good luck, whatever you decide to do x

I'm a wiggly worm, I'm a wiggly worm, how do you do, I love you, I'm wiggly worm!
  • I am saying no next time my daughter wants friends to sleepover
My teles broke ,now someone has broken a beautiful lamp in my daughters room
They have been ruuning wild i would be very cross if I thought my daughter behaved badly in someones house, shes very upset about the breakage
I wish they would go home
  • Evenstarcrafty, what a disaster it's all sounding! If I were you, I'd call the parents and ask them to come take them home. My DD doesn't have sleepovers here often (problems with neighbours, another story entirely) but the girls know I would take them straight home if there was any nonsense (she's maybe a bit older than yours though?). Sorry your day isn't going well hun *hugs*

So glad to hear you're going for the challenge with new enthusiasm Money! We miss you when you're not around!

My birthday's July 29th, stubborn as anything Leo here!

In a year's time, I'd love to be living in a house where I don't have to worry about neighbours, and earning a reasonable income from my crafty ventures. I'm not asking much :D

Evenstar, sit them down, read them the riot act and tell them if they don't sort themselves out then parents will be called to come and get them and why.

I had one little lippy mare at my DD's birthday party once (think they were 8 or 9 then). She was giving me cheek and I don't take that from a child. She got the "I have NEVER had to call a mum to come and take a child home from my house. DON'T be the first!" talk from me in front of them all and backed down pdq.

I've been upstairs working on some work in progress. I also have some ideas for some paper crafts stuff. I'm getting to that brain overload phase again, I think.

If anyone is at a car boot or charity shop and sees a Scrabble set with wooden tiles (not plastic) I'm in the market please! There are a couple going on ebay but they are too much and also they are complete sets which would be a shame to break up really. I don't care if the sets are incomplete. Will be scouring the local car boot for hidden treasures tomorrow so I hope the weather holds up.

M&P - maybe. I'm still at the insecure stage about my stuff. If I have a successful school fair then I'd probably feel more confident about it.

Well done Liz!! good luck with it :-)
Hope youve managed to get rid of the marauding children evenstar...perhaps Amber will come round with her whip?

Ive just managed to put a new product on my website all by myself (and if you knew how computer illiterate I am thats no mean feat!) so now I'm feeling smug as I will be saving a fortune on getting someone else to put stuff on my site for me! Going to have some cheese on toast and a cuppa as a reward lol
