Huggies OR Pampers?

Right, i was going to go with Tesco own brand.

But have recently discovered IL's have a bookers card and they have offered to take us to stock up on nappys for cheaper.

But Bookers only do Huggies and Pampers.

At the moment i have about 4 packs of huggies size 1's that i have got for free/ half price with coupons.

But seeing as this is my first i dont know which one is the best :D

This may sound mad, but when dd was younger it was pampers nappies, but then when pull ups I found huggies were better.

  • Huggies are, imho, better than pampers if you are buying branded. Personally the best nappies value and quality wise are L*dl's

If you are going to stock up I wouldn't necessarily buy all the same size, it's amazing how quickly they grow and you can be left with nappies you can't use.

I'd try a bag of the others and see what you think then. I remember hating huggies which leaked for my DS and loving pampers. Then a conversation started at mums and tots and every other mum I was sat with said they loved huggies and hated pampers which had leaked for them. I then looked at my son compared to their children and noticed that he was a completely different shape to their kids (longer and thinner), which might have made a difference to which we preferred.

I prefer Huggies for their flexibility / elasticity, but I seem to have a huge stock of Pampers under the cot ;) Must have been all those vouchers I got!

I've always found pampers to be better on my ds. They seemed to be a better fit on him and i found huggies leaked quite a lot as well x

  • We found (and so did many of our friends) that Huggies were better for girls, and Pampers better for boys.

We first tried Pampers (i think becuase we had a free sample) on our DD (3) and the fit was all wrong and they always leaked so we moved to Huggies and these were great.

Our DD is now potty trained and only wears nappies at night so we changed onto supermarket own brand and havent had any problems with these. Almost wonder whether we should have tried these to begin with !!

Depends on the shape of your baby.. skinny babies seem to do better in huggies and chunkier babies in pampers..

Personally.. washable all the way.. :p

I prefered the pampers baby dry with DD but anything worked with DS although I do not personally like how the huggies fasten, they didnt leak for DS when we got them on special offers.
