I ordered what I thought was a great bargain 6 x 15kg of dog food with freepost for the price of a regular bag of food in the shops.
I order 2 x 6 and the amazon confirmation email from amazon reads 2 x 6 x 15kg, the confirmation email from the seller reads 1 x 15kg, and the postage has been charged too.
If the item gets delivered and there's only 2 x15kg not the 12 I was expecting what are my rights?

Well im not sure on amazon market place rules but your statutory rights will depend entirely on what the invoice the seller send you.
If the invoice sent states 2x15kg then you will just be entitled to a refund, not the other 10. If however the invoice states 12x15kg (or 2x6x15kg) and you receive less then you have every right to those extra bags. I would expect the latter to be highly unlikely though so looks like it will be a refund.
Check amazons rules to sellers though as at the very least they will take down his listing or whatever they call it as it is incorrect. They may also offer more rights for you but i doubt it.Back by no demand whatsoever.0 -

That would mean no goods and my money back rather than refund and keep wouldn't it?4743hudsonj wrote: »Well im not sure on amazon market place rules but your statutory rights will depend entirely on what the invoice the seller send you.

Well, you don't get invoiced because you pay for it through amazon so it's just confirmation emails.
The one from Amazon statesThe following items were sold by and shipped from ****Limited in
package 1 of this shipment:
2 of 6 x Arden Grange Lamb & Rice Dog Food 15kg FREE POST
whereas the seller's confirmation wasWe have shipped your Amazon UK Item .
Arden Grange Adult Lamb & Rice Dog Food 15kg *FREE POST
with no quantities on it at all.
Luckily I took print screens of what I was buying and the item description, but I don't knoww if that's enough?
Thanks for your help guys.

Why not ring or email the seller and see if they have made a mistake?0

180kg of dog food?! YIKES!"That's a big parcel.
As there's no quantity at all, and you have paid for two lots, I would presume the 2 x 6 x 15kgs will be turning up!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
Why haven't you contacted the seller to ask what is being delivered?
I think this might back fire on you if you have to return it for a refund and taking a screen print suggests you know it is in the category of "too good to be true".0 -

Ive bought things from amazon marketplace and got an invoice with the package. Usually only if its a business, which it sounds like this is so i would go by that unless amazon states that its invoice is the correct one. Contact the seller about it and also amazon to clarify what confirmation is final.Back by no demand whatsoever.0 -

Why would I? I thought I'd wait til it comes and see what happens then.
It won't backfire on me, because if it's not as stated I'll then either send it back for a refund (f.o.c) or complain to Trading Standards that I was misled by Amazon/the seller.4743hudsonj wrote: »Ive bought things from amazon marketplace and got an invoice with the package. I will email them this morning asking them to confirm.
Anyone have a clue what your actual consumer rights are on this matter?

If it's an error you will be entitled to your money back, as mentioned in one of the earlier posts.Thinking critically since 1996....0

So the only option if they've put the listing up incorrectly is to send the items back for a refund, there are no other courses of action for this?
Doesn't sound right to me that somebody can mislead you into buying something and then just offer you a return and refund when they've made the mistake.£2014 in £2014 challenge
