It did lol, but had more wants than for sales so just decided to do a job lot order with Jupon direct at a lesser cost than Princess sparkle.

    Ooh...that's useful to know!

    Hi Chel.
Taffeta is more of a lighter fabric, especially synthetic so having a net petticoat underneath doesn't drag the netting down like heavier fabrics can. (as in my daughters dress)
Are you looking for a hoop? If you are then most defo go for a single hoop with lots of net. Especially for taffeta. hth xx

I think so, I'm just not sure until it has been altered because at the moment it is about 8" or more too long :o so I'm not sure if it's the extra length that is dragging it down IYKWIM

I'll have to see how many layers it already has under because there are a few

You won't be able to alter the length until you have the petticoat.
Hollywood dreams have a very stiff netting underneath their gowns before you start adding pettis. I was watching Great British Weddings today and a girl had a super HW gown on. However, for me the hoop spoilt it. As I say, I'm not a great hoop fan but don't let my opinions sway you. As a thought, it's much easier to pee in a net petti than a hoop!!

So Linda are you a seamstress as well? I know you're not very far from me and I can see me needed lots of help with my wedding dress, as in alterations

Some taffetas are quite thin. My daughters dress is because, well, it's for her for a one off so didn't want to go overly expensive. These thinner fabrics can show the hoop or the line of the hoop. By all means have a hoop but make sure there is plenty of net over it not just a hoop petticoat.
    Does that make sense?
You can always ring me and i'll explain. x

Oh my goodness, i couldn't agree with you more and its something not all brides think of! I was a MoH for a friend years ago and my dress had one large hoop. Going to the loo turned into a 2 person affair - the first time i tried it alone the whole hoop and dress flipped over on my head and i was temporarily trapped INSIDE the dress...and getting the bride into a toilet cubicle at the reception was hysterical...making me laugh now just thinking about it! :rotfl:
