"Could you please lower the reserve for this item because I really want it but can't afford that much"
There wasn't even a reserve on the item but people had bid on it pushing the price up!:happylove DD July 2011:happyloveAug 13 [STRIKE]£4235.19[/STRIKE] £2550.00 :cool:0 -
Hi I got a buyer asking me to send them pictures of the item I was selling through the post and they gave me their house address to mail them to as their email address was not working.
Thing was there was only 4 hours left on the auction so I just thought it was a joke and ignored them after adding them to my blocked buyers list.
Five days later I recieved a very nice message saying they still have not got the pictures they asked for and when did I send them, the auction had been ended for five days at this point.
I ignored them again and heard nothing for two weeks then I got a message about another auction I listed from them, they were asking why they could not bid on it and if I had sent the pictures yet.
All of these messages were very nice and typed in good english and when I looked at their feedback they had bought quite a few things and their account looked OK to me, I have not heard from them since but who knows I may hear from them again one day.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -
'I would like to bid on your item so can you please send me your phone number so I can call you?'
*confused*
Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...0 -
Listed an item of clothing with a clear description including size (14) and measurements (in cm and inches).
Question: What size is 14?
I have to admit it that I didn't really know how to answer that!0 -
I had
'what material is your 100% cotton skirt made from?'
Many moons ago when I was selling sci fi and cult stuff I got an email from a repeat buyer who often used to email me about things in my collection and he asked 'will you be my girlfriend'. That wasn't funny, I felt incredibly sad.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I once got:
"What length are the legs on the skirt you're selling?"0 -
I had a ASQ "is this still available" 3 days after 15 auctions ended. No clue on the email as to which item!
I emailed back and asked which item, as I had a few end unsold the same day.
Reply "the one what finished on Sunday"
I emailed back and asked if they could tell me which one, I could relist it for them, and I'm still none the wiser now.
:hello:

I had a Playstation Game listed and someone asked if it would work on their grandson's console as they'd like to get them some games for christmas...
I responded it was for the ps3 and asked what console her grandson had and I could let her know if it was compatable...
She responded a few hours later stating it was a Leapfrog (...after doing my research I realised this is some kind of kiddy "speak n spell" type computer for ages 3+ that reads books)
...I wouldn't mind by the PS3 game was Call of Duty - a shoot 'em up game!!
Pleasant enough lady though & made me smile for the rest of the day...0 -
