This gave me an idea... we could start a thread with info on how to find information about dodgy companies/employers etc.
I will do tomorrow if no-one else does it today.0 -
Aw, gutted that the original thread has been deleted, but so chuffed that Femme managed to get the issue sorted out.
If Usafashionz are legit then hopefully someone will come along to defend them, and if no one does, at least this thread can act as a warning to anyone tempted by job offers from this company on Gumtree.0 -

In short, I totally agree with Hermann's point here:
"I was hoping we could have a thread about [insert name of company] without all the personal stuff, just some factual comments...
That way anyone researching these jobs can find a useful thread with some factual comments."
That's exactly what I was getting at. I stated a couple of times in the 2 other threads relating to this matter that personal info. is way OTT (not to mention, the thread can't survive, as MSE has a responsibility to pull it).£1 / 50p 2011 holiday flight + hotel expenses = £98.50/£600
HSBC 8% 12mth regular savings = £80 out of a maximum remaining allowance of £2500
"3 months' salary" reserve = £00 / £3600 :eek:0 -
MSE has to cover its back for legal reasons, as the rules specifically state. However it does not stop us creating our own forum, where such details "that are still available" indeed in this particular scammer, many MSErs have already cached
(photos, addresses, emails, home address, business address ALL still at their disposal) can happily post ALL such details.
If the person in question is truly innocent, he could sue for libel, if there is evidence that a forum owner has broken the law, (except if indeed they know they are guilty), there is NOTHING much such a scammer could do about it.
MSE, aren't taking any chances on who is\isnt guilty, and in MSE all it takes to delete a thread, is a few nasty posts, personal details or abuse from a "newbie" or "regular" to have the thread closed.
What would have been a good idea would be to have the original thread locked, before any worms could infect it.
However with your own forum, YOU make the rules, and are free to post what you want on it as ultimately only YOU would be responsible for any slanderous or false postings on there. I am sure each of us with the relevant info, would be happy to pass it on to anyone who requires it.
On a further tip, assuming this criminal is still trading a scam, it might be worth exposing them to the press, 'investigate@mirror.co.uk' are always interested in exposing and closing such con artists down, feel free to email them with your experiences AND links or details.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

Thank you very much evrybody for this very useful info - I have printed this off for my friend. She is still trying to get her money back but at least she knows what she can do if she doesn't get it. She said she has also thought of writing to Watchdog as well as all the useful advcie here.
Femme I'm so glad you got your money back.
Also everyone who has mentioned about posiblily defaming a person /company by putting details on here - of-course I understand that as this is public - not a private group of people trying to help each other. But now my friend has enough info to take action if she doesn't get her money back.
I have seen another thread on here about specific named companies and indiviuals - people are warning others off jobs which are actually just cold calling on commission but advertised as salaried. This thread is still there I believe.
Thanks for all your help everyone from me and my friend0 -
You can always post on tamebay, they are a US-based forum, so are beyond UK laws.Never Knowingly Understood.
