Assuming this post isn't part of the 'inside plot' going on here (;)), it's good evidence as to why the original thread should've been kept up.

Perhaps a sticky thread detailing alllll the dodgy companies that get asked about on here? It seems like there's at least one thread every day relating to some kind of scam company. No names, no personal info, just facts...

But what 'facts'?

To use a recent example on this board, an anonymous person made a number of claims about a company.

Other anonymous people found information - including personal information - about the person running the company.

On the basis of the unsubstantiated claims made by the original, anonymous, poster, the person running the company - whose personal details and photo were now displayed on the thread - was branded a 'scammer'.

Forget red herrings about 'newbies' and whether or not they were/are the supposed 'scammer' posting on the thread. I really don't see how MSE could have allowed such a potentially libellous thread to keep running.

Although my personal view is that the circumstantial evidence on the other thread was persuasive, and I believe that the OP there was completely genuine in her view and description of what had happened, I accept that none of that constitutes 'fact'.

To play devil's advocate for a moment, how easy would it be for a vengeful person to destroy a genuine company, and a genuine person, by starting a thread like the one which was deleted? Right now, it looks like it would be very easily done.

In short, I totally agree with Hermann's point here:

"I was hoping we could have a thread about [insert name of company] without all the personal stuff, just some factual comments...

That way anyone researching these jobs can find a useful thread with some factual comments."

There were other threads but they were deleted, I'm not 100% sure why but there were a lot of accusations and personal stuff mixed in with genuine info on who was running the business and where they were based.

I'd suggest you use the personal message system on these forums to communicate with Femme456. Hopefully she can pass on the relevant bits!

You can also use the whois site to look up the details of any websites you want details of registered owners of. http://www.whois.net/

Googling registered addresses may also be useful.

However I should think a pm to Femme456 will get you any info available.
