bought and paid for 2 laura ashley sofas in october, costing almost £1,000 and given delivery date of 4 weeks - eventually sofas arrived last week and we were sofa-less over xmas. they have offered a £75 voucher in compensation - dont this is a fair amount for the amount of hassle and stres this caused especailly over xmas - i dont want one of their vouchers as i dont want any more stuff from their company.
i have no idea how to work out what is a fair amount to compensate me for their bad service so any suggestions very welcome

I didn't think it sounded too bad, TBH. Bung in another fiver and you can get one of their nice malmaison floor runners."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0

malmaison floor runner is £150 - didnt really want any more of their products plus i see this as an easy way out for them with little loss of £ to the laura ashley coffers - i, however have spent 3 months sitting on conservatory furniture as sold my old couches in october, could have cancelled the order but the sofas are lovely (now they are actually here) and were in the sale!!0

A fair amount... nothing.
Did you agree to...Delivery dates and weeks are not guaranteed and specific times and days cannot be agreed at any time during the order process. Any dates specified by us for delivery of the Product(s) are intended to be an estimate and time for delivery shall not be made of the essence.0 -
I think it sounds fair enough. I can understand why you are unhappy but I think it will give you more stress and hassle dragging things out for longer. As Keith pointed out they have a get out on delivery in their terms and conditions so all you would be doing is arguing back and forth.
£75 could get you some nice knick knacks.0 -
the only thing I can think is asking them to do the £75 as refund to your card (I assume this is how you paid) rather than in vouchers as you don't intend to shop with them again- and don't get into much of a snit if they say no, just list them on ebay.Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you. It's amazing how those with a can-do attitude and willingness to 'pitch in and work' get all the luck, isn't it?
Please consider buying some pet food and giving it to your local food bank collection or animal charity. Animals aren't to blame for the cost of living crisis.0 -

So it's not actually compensation you want, it's revenge. :cool:0 -
Ah, right.
If it's revenge, why don't you go down the store one dark evening and pop a dogturd through the letterbox?
And then claim the £75.0 -
