Ok thanks for the advice and no I don't really play games so thats' not really an issue for me, however, If I'm going to be spending at least £90 on a router then i want to get the best I can afford, anymore suggestions please?0

It's not that it's just I'm looking for a router that's really fast and I'm looking at the argos catalogue and they seem to be starting from over £500

No I didn't know that, and to be honest I am completely lost. I don't know why things have to be so complicated. There are three main issues I am thinking about
1. The faster the better
2. the price
3. reliabilty0 -

my advice go for n router
go for adsl2+ as these will give you best speeds possiable I take it you will be getting a local loop unbundled isp line?0 -
