House prices seem to be dropping faster in Central Scotland than in previous months. Is it the same in your area of Scotland?

The flash data from RoS is acting up over X-Mas.
Anyone who believes that any of the following numbers are accurate reflections of any individual house price change within the market in just 28 days are kidding themselves.
Aberdeen -10%
Western Isles +12%
East Lothian -19%
West Lothian +20%
At some point, most likely February/March, the sales mix will normalise after X-Mas and the Snowmageddon that was January, and the RoS index will normalise with it.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

Scottish prices are highly seasonal.
The gap between trough and peak is often 10% in a "Normal" year. It was more like 20% in many areas last year.
If you're going to buy a house in Scotland, buying in winter is by far the best plan.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

Ooooh, a witty and mature comeback.:T
If I told you your area gained 20% in 28 days over Xmas, you'd know full well it was a statistical quirk. As would I.....;)“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

But it didn't gain 20% (as a quirk or not) because you would of posted it...

I hope you haven't made any expensive plans because in a few months, at this rate, you will be able to buy the whole of Aberdeenshire for ........ a couple of flumps.

Fair enough.
Just so long as you know I'll be rubbing your face in the spring bounce even more than usual then.....:rotfl:“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

Maybe house prices are plummeting because it's a cold, miserable dump and no decent person would want to live there.1984ReturnsForReal wrote: »Ha Ha suck on -10%......
