Wow, that is one ugly suitcase, and 87 Ltrs. is peanuts. OH Has 3 Wakamatzus at 105 Ltrs. each
Yeah, but don't they weigh around 15lb.. these weigh under 5lb...
Review here........... http://www.gadling.com/2009/05/14/gadling-gear-review-landor-and-hawa-sub-0-g-ultralight-rolling-l/What if the Hokey Pokey really is what it's all about !!!0 -
I have a big wheeled suitacase and that weighs approx 11 pounds before I pack it, but I cant remember the actual capacity its meant to hold.:(
Its difficult to judge by the pictures the size of the cases shown on the links, I would need to see them in situ first.
I suppose it would pay for itself if you went on holiday 2-3 times a year, as you are getting 5LBs extra of packing in your case.
Some airlines only allow you 15kgs in the hold, and you pay £35 extra for 5 KG, so in theory you are saving £17.50 by having the lighter case.0 -
I have a big metal and plastic Samsonite and it weighs the earth but it fits all my stuff in and it it so tough. I haven't ever had an airline be too meticulous about being a kg or so over and if they did the peace of mind to know my stuff is safe is priceless. A lightweight fabric that could rip or tear would have me very worried at the carousel.0

Very interested in this super-lightweight luggage & wondered if anyone had some feedback on how it performs............
thanks...
I purchased the whole luggage set at a bargain price from a company called shopeezee. just search shopeezee in google and you will find them.
The sub 0 g luggage trully is extremely lightweight, pratical and robust considering how light it actually weighs. I purchased the whole luggage set from shopeezee which saved me over 30% and i and my wife + kids use all the different sizes depending on which journey we take. We have not had any issues with the luggage apart from the usual wear and tear but this is normal with any luggage. I would recommend sub zero (0) G suitcases to anyone....they really are a breath of fresh air!!!!

I'll stick with my heavy, chunky Samsonite. I see the way bags get treated everyday at the airport and wouldn't have much confidence in those cases. They might be ok for clothes, but nothing fragile will last long and i'd be intrigued as to their longevity too. My Samsonite has covered tens of thousands of miles over the last few years with barely a scratch to show for it. And it only cost me £14 second-hand on eBay.0

Just returned from Peru and our large Sub-0-G was a write-off. Zip had gone and the airline had taped it up as best they could. We used the box the case came in for some extra space and it fared fine!0

I've got four of these cases, one small cabin-ish size, 1 medium & two large. I've found them to be brilliant, one is a bit scuffed but that's the one I've had the longest and it's done several long haul trips.
We moved overseas earlier this month and I bought 2 large ones as we had a 3 bag allowance (up to 32kg each) and filled them all and put fairly fragile stuff in as well, very well wrapped in clothes and everything arrived in one piece, These cases will be going back to the UK with me again in April and will be re-filled again with more fragile stuff.
Have had absolutely no problems and would recommend. I got one in Matalan, one in Argos, reduced by a third & I had a voucher and got the other 2 in Domo (Bags etc shop).0 -
I bought one to go travelling to Oz/NZ/HK for a month and it was worse thing I ever bought! The fabric ripped in 4 different places, and on the return journey the internal frame of the case snapped in 2 places which meant it was a struggle to get it home from airport!
Luckily I was able to get mine refunded by returning to the store (Matalan)* Rainbow baby boy born 9th August 2016 *

yeah i got a sub zero g black suitcase in an outlet shopping centre in vegas last year. i think they are brilliant!!! mine was around 120dollars i think and is either 24 or 26inches (cant remember but think its 26inches) but medium size and weighs 2.49 kg. i really want the larger one (this was the only one they had in the shop over there) but i know they do a 77cm one now in a few different colours. my problem is i live in dublin ireland and i dont know where to buy one over here. ive seen them advertised on u.k websited but they dont deliver to here. does anyone know where i can purchase one from? best buy ever!0

Me too! I have one that is at least 10 years old. One of the locks did get a bit stiff but spare parts are still available and it was a simple job to repair it myself.
Expensive at the time but has outlasted plenty of other bags.
