Good question, I'd like to know too. I've got a loft full of suitcases that weigh a ton even when empty!

Hi, I bought one of the large sub O cases last summer. I used it to go to on holiday twice last year & it was great. The only problem was that the first time I used it, the foam that covers the handles got a little scuffed & some of it came off in transit. I wasn't too bothered by that as it was still usuable. The second time, I noticed a large tear in the fabric. I rang up Sub 0 to complain & was told that as it covered by guarantee, I could simply return it to where I bought it from & get it replaced with another one. Apparently, they have since improved the fabric used & the one I purchased was one of the original batches. I have yet to take it back as I haven't had time & I can't find the original receipt (not sure if they will replace it without one). I would love to get another one( if they have indeed improved the fabric) as it's so light & you can fit lots into it.0

I was under the impression that the 10 year guarantee only covered manufacturing defects & not airline accidents/rips........... That's my worry as they do seem so flimsy & then the 10yr cover means nothing if it gets ripped to bits in the plane hold.........What if the Hokey Pokey really is what it's all about !!!0

One other question... I've seen them in Argos & Matalan but does anyone know anywhere else that sells them 'cheap' & in all the colours... ta... :beer:What if the Hokey Pokey really is what it's all about !!!0

If they are claiming that they are aware that the original fabric had problems, is that not a manufacturing defect? I hope so. I really must take it back & find out. I will be really upset if they don't replace it as I really liked it. I got mine from TJHughes but not sure if you have one by you. They were much cheaper than Matalan at the time.0

Unfortunately TJHughes isn't here yet, although a store opens in Belfast in May (i think) but looking on their site it's the same price as Argos. I'll wait & see if Argos do their voucher offer again & maybe chance one then...What if the Hokey Pokey really is what it's all about !!!0

What do these cases weigh empty? and how much do they cost.
Reason being was I saw some in a bag shop, you know the type, sells expensive bags and suitcases, was just glancing in as you do, and there was a card on them saying the lightest suitcase there is, or something along those lines.
It went on to say the case weighs 2.5 kg., but couldnt see a price on them.
I have a very large case that I take on holiday, and that weighs empty, 5 kilos, which is double the weight of above, so am wondering if the extra money is worth the extra 5 pounds.:(
I remember talking to someone about 3 years ago that there is a suitcase that weighs 1 kg, but costs near on £100.:eek:0 -
The largest (87.5 litres & weighs 2.7kg) is £49.99 in Argos...

Wow, that is one ugly suitcase, and 87 Ltrs. is peanuts. OH Has 3 Wakamatzus at 105 Ltrs. eachThe common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0
