Can someone help a dumb Blonde?

I've being going round & round these boards trying to get cheaper Phone/Broadband package and am getting in a tizz, so perhaps someone could help?

I currently have a BT Line with Broadband that cost us around £30 per month with unlimited usage. All our Calls are made by 18866 which works out about an additional £8 per month.

Unfortunately we cant get the Talk Talk package so have looked at the Biscit package for £19.99 but am concerned about the 2gmb dowload. We have 4 computers and use the Internet alot but not often for downloading.

Any advice on who would be the best???

i would suggest zazizam - you probably wont need the speed you are currently getting, if you do not really download - so 1mb should be something to aim for

i use 512k, over 5 computers, and everything is still good, and we do download occassionally as well

First of all I wouldn't look for a phone/broadband package but treat them separately unless there is a "must have" package available to you.

Is the £30 a month with BT, your broadband and line rental?

Have you read the new BT BB thread here...

Do all your calls go through 18866 or do you use a CPS for free evening and w/end calls?

    Try http://www.planet-talk.co.uk/SaverProducts.aspx?source=saver

18866 at £8 a month is quite a lot of calls that could probably be cheaper by joining 1899 nowadays as their connection charge is 3p for 01/02 calls. Also join 18185 for any calls to mobiles.

I signed up for the Primus Broadband package and am really pleased with it. (https://www.planet-talk.co.uk) Their offer includes free connection, free modem, 1Mb speed, unlimited. Cheaper telephone calls, with free evening and week-end calls to 01/02 numbers. Also you can still use the 1899/18185 prefix to get cheaper calls if this applies.
It works out at £10 per month roughly as they give you a rebate each quarter and 3 months free after 1st year.
