Calm down, calm down.
It's not racism - it's a statement based on fact, vehicle theft in the Liverpool area being around 50% more likely than the national average:

How do you do that?
Dammit.0 -
Apparently if you drive an Audi you get free parking at Old Trafford on match days.
That was enough to put me off buying one0 -

Yes but its not as bad as places like:
Bristol: http://www.upmystreet.com/local/crime-in-bristol.html
Nottinham: http://www.upmystreet.com/local/crime-in-nottingham.html
Manchester: http://www.upmystreet.com/local/crime-in-manchester.html
Birmingham: http://www.upmystreet.com/local/crime-in-birmingham.html
Reading: http://www.upmystreet.com/local/crime-in-reading.html
......and many other places
So, in fact, for a city Liverpool is actually a relitively safe place to leave your car.0 -

True - and well Googled, sir.
Point is, though, that although Liverpool may well be statistically safer than these other places, you'd still be a fool to hand your car keys over to a Scouser.
Eh?0 -

Well in your case, no - you are already a fool anyway. Although if you did hand your keys to a Scouser at least you would only be a fool rather than a fool and a !!!!!! - perhaps you should consider it.0 -

But if I kept hold of them, I'd also not get my car nicked.
Do you have a plan in mind for tomorrow? All very well getting someone respectable-sounding to call on your behalf to arrange the appointment, but as soon as you open your mouth you'll be out of there quicker than you can say "eh la', gizzuh tenneh to look afta' y'caaah".
What will you do then?0 -

Well luckily I havn't lived in Liverpool for many years and my accent is only very slight. Most of the time people dont know where I'm from unless I tell them.
You on the other hand must have a lot of trouble as the large !!!! shaped protrusion on your head will be visible at all times. Pity.0 -

You said it, matey - not me. But yes. Lucky.thescouselander wrote: »my accent is only very slight. Most of the time people dont know where I'm from unless I tell them.
...or until they look for their watch/wallet/Ipod after you've left, and can't find it.thescouselander wrote: »You on the other hand must have a lot of trouble as the large !!!! shaped protrusion on your head will be visible at all times.
"A lot of trouble"? What, you mean trouble trying to hide my being a Scouser or whatever when it's painfully obvious due to having a big nob coming out of my head? Is this what you're trying to say?
Ah, right - so you're saying that most Scousers are d*ckheads too, then? Glad we're in agreement.
Good luck at the dealership tomorrow0
