I agree with Mr Lahey, I think it does depend on how you look.

2 weeks ago visited the new Edinburgh Audi garage & got completely ignored by each & every sales assistant, whilst other customers / families got treated like royalty. Really hacked me off & I just wouldnt buy a car off them now.
  • I get great service from my Audi dealer, though it's had so much warranty work done on it I'm on first name terms.
    steering rack
ESP fault - still can't fix it
    Clutch
    Flywheel
    COMPLETE GEARBOX
    evaporator from air con

had car less than 2 years, 37000 miles on it
Last german car I ever buy.
Ordered myself a tasty Honda Accord, coming in 10 wks and counting.
Vorsprung durch up your @rsehole mate!!

The advice I give on here is based on my many years in the preservation industry. I choose to remain anonymous, I have no desire to get work from anyone. No one can give 100% accurate advice on a forum if I get it wrong you'll get a sincere apology and that's all:D

  • Do you think the problem might lie somewhere with the name of OP?

I for one wouldn't let a Scouser "test drive" any car I wanted to be sure of seeing again......

Ah yes, I wondered when someone would bring that up. Would you have said the same sort of thing if I was black? I don't think I'd let you test drive a car because you're a !!!!!!.

If you turn up unshaven in dirty jeans, T shirt and trainers, the salesman may think you are another pennyless timewaster or a rich rockstar.

Thats not really my image and in any case the car I've got now is reasonably good so it shouldn't be too much of a stretch of the imagination to suppose I might want (and be able to afford) to buy one of their cars.

No, because statistically speaking a black guy's not as likely to pinch a car as a Scouser - much lower risk there, y'see?

    QED.

Hmmm - you call me a "!!!!!!", yet you're the one who brings race into it.

    Right.
