https://www.x10hosting.com - free, unlimited bandwidth and I think 1-10Gb of space?
I use it for my C++ applications SQL databases:p0 -
I have been using HostFantastic www.hostfantastic.co.uk for a couple of years now. I work in a secondary school and after getting frustrated at the service given to me by one of the bigger companies I was told about them by a friend. Their support is excellent and personal, the servers are in the UK and the site has never been down for me.
My dad also uses them to host his small business site.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 1021 - Proud to be dealing with my debts.0 -

To be even fairer RR, explain how you came to that insulting conclusion. I'd been hosting with 1and1 for 6 years before I discovered how bad they were at solving problems. On the 8th they created a problem by 10th I'd side-graded as requested and waited the 24hrs they said it would take. On the 18th after several attempts to get them to sort out the problem I'm still without the websites.0 -
DO NOT use 1&1 unless all other companies have died and hell has frozen over.
Search Google and all will be explained in great detail. Click here for info.
There must be one satisfied 1&1 customer out there, probably about to post below this one. Maybe not.
Never had a problem with them in about 3 years. Although, I only use them for a basic business package.0 -
I think the problem is WHEN you have a problem. After a 9-day saga I've emailed them twice today in reponse to an email from the complaints department giving me a free month on my package. They wrote in the email that if I had any further downtime that I should email them. I've emailed twice in 6 hours to say that I've had 9 days downtime so far and nothing has changed, my websites are still down, and they still have not responded to my emails. When I signed up with 1and1, 6 years ago, they were an award winning hosting company.Never had a problem with them.0 -
Hosting awards mean nothing.[greenhighlight]but it matters when the most senior politician in the land is happy to use language and examples that are simply not true.

The impact of this is to stigmatise people on benefits,
and we should be deeply worried about that[/redtitle](house of lords debate, talking about Cameron)0 -
