Honeymoon Ideas Please

Could somebody give me some honeymoon ideas for August next year please.

We are looking to go for 10/14 days.

Single Centre or Multi Centre.

I have had a few ideas of destination so far:

Dubai
Fiji
Caribbean
Brazil
Seychelles
Maldives
Mauritius
Sri Lanka

Preferably somewhere where we aren’t tied to the same place each day/night with a couple of bars/restaurants.

I was hoping not to spend more than £3K.

Any ideas/help welcome!

We went to Crete last year. We want to go somewhere where we haven't been before and where we wouldn't beable to afford again.

Dubai and then the Seychelles would make an amazing holiday. Dubai has a brilliant nightlife/ shopping and beaches and then you could go on the shortish flight on to the Seychelles and really relax. But Dubai will be amazingly hot in August.

We did Las Vegas and San Francisco but I am guessing from the destinations you have picked you want something a bit more relaxing!

I've been trying to think for you as well!

What about South Africa, you could do a Safari and have a beach type holiday as well? Cuba is supposed to be the "in" place to go at the moment . Or go to New York and then on to somewhere for more of a relax in the U.S.

We had such a laugh in Las Vegas and San Francisco (we drove through the desert and stayed for a few day in a resort there for a relax as well) and are going to go again for my 30th soon. I can really recommend it.

Europe is outstandingly good in August, what you save on the long haul air fare, you can spend on accommodation and of course no jet lag.
I'd suggest the South of France, Portofino and Viareggio, the Amalfi Coast, Ischia, Capri, Croatia, Corsica, Sardinia, Taormina.

Depends what your priorities are really.

We are going on our honeymoon in three weeks.

We originally planned to go on a tour of the US Mid West starting in Chicago and driving via St. Louis down to Arkansas etc. There is an amazing landscape to see (especially the ozarks) and car rentals are quite cheap.

It would have been an amazing trip but some idiot stole my wallet last week which had my driving license in it... So now we cannot go as we can't hire a car without a driving license and I won't get a replacement in time :-(

We are not sad though, we are now going to Austria. Sounds strange but I have no doubt it will be amazing. It is in the middle of the alps. We are staying in a private guesthouse right by the lake Woerthersee in the county of Kaernten. It's one of the biggest lakes in Austria with beautiful sceneries and lots of bars, restaurants and nightlife too. You get the Woerthersee-Kaernten-Card included in the price, which gives you discounts to loads of sporting activities and free access to swimming pools, free guided walks etc. The city of Salzburg is not too far off either, famous for Mozart and with beautiful castles etc. The guesthouse owners are even picking us up from the airport in Klagenfurt free of charge. You can fly to Klagenfurt via Vienna with Austrian Airlines. Book your flight so you have a long stopover in Vienna, the city is only 15 minutes away from the airport and you can visit Vienna during your stopover.

All in all I think we are going to have a fantastic time! This isn't for everyone, but if you are not a beach person this is perfect!

    Hope that helps...

Mina a salam hotel in dubai is v.good is you like variety of food/bars in the evening etc and for general wow factor. Over 50 restuarants and over 50 bars on 1 huge complex - joined by waterway. We did mauritius - nice and quiet but not alot to do outside hotel and dubai for 3 nights on the return.

CHECK TEMPS FOR AUGUST IN DUBAI FIRST THO - as might be riduclously hot!

tripadvisor is a good source of info on which hotels to choose ect once you've narrowed down your choices.
