just gone through my finances and i have an extra £45 in my account so this has found its way to the mortgage account...£27405Mortgage November 2003 was £135k, but thanks to this website on 28/08/12 we became MORTGAGE FREE!
Now just over 2 years we have taken on the challenge again! )(starting £237k Nov 2014) Current mortgage £232,399.82, current overpayment total £1550, years remaining= 170 -
We have just upped our monthly outgoings again! We got an offer from sky £22.75 a month for sky including movies and sports for 12months and one entertainment pack, HD, we added all the other packs so its now £23.50 a month and they've credited our account for £50 too so 1st payment in may. This is now exciting for my husband who has a lot more evenings just him and the tv!! I am tempted to see how much extra the 3d is even for a month....
Either way a good deal and cheaper than we were paying in the first place, if it had been shorter deal i might not have bothered but for 12months its worth it as i don't have to keep calling them up!
My husband has some money in his account...he is off the next few days so hopefully can nip another chunk off the mortgage!!:jMortgage November 2003 was £135k, but thanks to this website on 28/08/12 we became MORTGAGE FREE!

Wow, you're down to 5 months. That's amazing.
How much have you knocked off this month?
I can't remember, did you finish the extension?Pots: House £6966/£7100, Rainy day Complete, [STRIKE]Sunny day £0/£700[/STRIKE], IVF £2523/£2523, Car up-keep £135/£135, New car £5000/£5000, Holiday £1000/£1000, MFW #16 £2077/£3120
MFiT3 #86: Reduce mortgage from £146,800 to £125,000
Mortgage Sept 2014: £135,500, MF Oct 2035 Peak July 2011: £154,000, MF July 20360 -
I'm rounding up my surveys too as the end of my maternity leave is in sight. I think they're great if you have time but life is getting so busy now I am reducing down the ones I do.I'll still keep some, Yougov is a good one to keep although slow tor reach payout you don't get screened out!
Can't believe how quickly your months are coming down now!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Peonie, I have been putting off knocking down the months but currently we are knocking off about £4500 a month and we have had a bit extra birthday etc and I still have some overtime to come so really i think 28th of august is likely to be the day. We will have to get £450 ahead tho as the last payment will not involve our regular payment if we do it on this date! We have only managed it because of the stoozing tho and reality we will be paying off our 'living debts' into the end of the year. If it is looking likely to be this date I am meant to be working so I think I will book a half day so I can go and pay it off and maybe a celebratory lunch! I need to start counting the days like another MF wannabe does on here, great idea it always makes me excited when i see his/her countdown!!
The extension is doing really well, we are about half way through the second floor. Hopefully in 6-8weeks we will be getting the roof on but I would expect it'll be next year before we start knocking through.
I am done with mysurvey, about a pound left on valued opinions, £1 left on new vista, quite a few points still on ipsos and wonder bug, yougov is about £35, this has taken about 3years! so I will plough on until I hit 50 its annoying they never email u when theres one. About £7 opn onepoll- thats really gone downhill i used to get about a fiver a week. I will miss all the vouchers, we had a splurge on dvds the other day courtesy of the surveys, in all honesty I can quite easily do overtime now and its very well paid compared to surveys and diluting my quality of time at home doing surveys is silly, I don't have wifi at work now either or id probably do them in my break.
Cath- how do you feel about the end of maternity leave? I imagine you are a bit sad, hope the transition goes okMortgage November 2003 was £135k, but thanks to this website on 28/08/12 we became MORTGAGE FREE!

Well normal mortgage payment came out and we are down to £1.06 a day now, we should be going under £1 a day next month, £33.84 monthly interest, £424.67 off the balance these numbers feel like real progress.
our balance is now £22400 i think my husband might have a bit extra to put towards the mortgage too. Can't wait for next month!!Mortgage November 2003 was £135k, but thanks to this website on 28/08/12 we became MORTGAGE FREE!
