Had a bad few days! We lost our cat but he's now at home. I get very attached to my animals so it was nothing short of a catastrophe for me, anyhow after miles of walking delivering leaflets (£35 in printer ink/ paper and slips) and 2 nights of a couple of hours sleep he is now home. I feel great relief, this will certainly incur the cost of an extra gate also to help prevent him getting away again!

In the meantime we have had a couple of quite expensive shops (celebratory homecoming meal) and visits to the garden centre and replaced the fence outside our house and on the side garden. Things are looking much better.
My dog ate my second lots of seed potatoes I was going to plant (grrr) but it saved my husband building a raised bed for them!! Also been doing some cuttings and am planning to do another big batch soon so hopefully our garden will look pretty good this summer.

We are going to sort some stuff out this weekend and update our spread sheets. 1st credit card is coming down, and set some extension challenges for the year, will finish foundations and get the outer bricks up at the front so our back garden is secure (as fence will have to come down for the foundations) and that will probably be it so that is all we're setting ourselves. Hopefully this weekend we can set a realistic date to pay off the 2nd credit card and perhaps confirm a realistic MF date. My super parents have said that we can take a payment break from my loan with them from June which we can resume when MF, we were'nt going to but we had a big chat and have decided to take them up on it this might mean were a month or two quicker MF, depending on extension plans for next year, so basically our outgoings will decrease by £500 a month.

Anyway thats about it, hubby's birthday weekend this weekend so 3 days off, looking forward to the long weekends coming up! Next weekend after that we start digging...

Thats about it for now :)

Thanks small save, my animals are greedy!

Had good weekend, things are definately happening this weekend. We have the grab lorry ordered and hubby has to start digging sounds like he has to dig about 12 cubic metres of dirt out tho only half this weekend! Apparently this will save us £3K?? Next weekend the holes can be filled with cement. We do need to keep a full price list of all this to find out how much this shall cost us!

We spent about £42 on our normal shop but we did get a few other bits. Also two of our tyres had nails in them so these were fixed. We had a great meal out yesterday for hubbys 28th which cost us £5 courtesy of clubcard points, we really pigged out too probably could have got nearly two meals out of them if we hadn't been so greedy!

Only a two day week this week and I am so grateful seeing as its a long month, I think next week is 3 day due to strategically booked holiday....then May wow. we have been drawing up our plans for the mortgage and credit cards and I think we will clear the first credit card July, have not worked beyond that yet, after that I predict a pretty uneventful second half of the year as I think the extension will only crawl along, looks like the majority will be done after our MF date. So hot already this year tho I keep feeling like we are further along the year than we really are.

Not much more really going on at the mo, tough couple of weekends but will be feeling fantasic once thats all done :)

We are busy building so quick message only!

Shopping came to £42 this week but including a tenner on the cats so that is not too bad I guess...

Just got my final electric bill thru after switching £129!!! on checking tho I have realised the sneaky devils have said that I used 11.29 units a day on the old tariff so £78 for 93 days and 33.12 units a day on the new tariff so £31 for 8days!! I have realised that of the whole 101 days only the first and last date is actual and the 2 in the middle that they have used to create where the new tariff starts is estimated. So basically they have skewed my usage so that I have used more on the new tariff. i have recalculated it for them and emailed them and I calculated evening out the daily usuage will save a tenner- not loads but better in my pocket than theres...I wonder how many people get conned in this way????

pay day next week:j:j:jwill update soon!

Quick update... payday (finally) so over paid £2710 to mortgage today taking us to...£59210 wow, lead by a 5 now :)

This weekend starting to really reduce credit card 1 (I'm calling it- tescos) would like to clear it July...might be August but will try for July.

Generally will try to pay less on other credit card (sainsburys) and will work a plan of action for that once the first has gone.

Not gonna speak about quidco but think once my outstanding cashback is paid I will switch for top cashback (before I pay another membership fee), too much fighting involved to get your cashback and its starting to wind me up!

Building is in full swing this weekend, could have paid more off credit card but had some good cash deals meaning putting stuff on the credit card was just silly so at least limits that building up tho I need to settle the gas/elect and vet bill so something will go on it.

Hubby has another tax rebate to claim, and he got a payrise, only small but £62 a month and now we are frugal that seems like loads!!

Gonna prioritise the credit card for a bit and still meet the mortgage challenge but aiming to put any extra bits on card, grrr but necessary unfortunately.
