I just realised last week that I can get iplayer on the TV through the Wii, I much prefer to watch it that way rather than on the computer.Dum Spiro Spero0

Looking at the BBC website so long as you don't watch live TV you should be ok..The Summer Holiday of a Lifetime0 -
Just be prepared for the many threatening letters from the TVL people asking why you haven't got a licence, OP.Dry January: 31/31 days. :T0

Hihi,
I believe if you watched pre-recorded shows from the lights of bbc and what not, you still need a license.
I'm pretty sure i read that at my girlfriends uni accomodation.
Check it out with them to be sure mate.
Plus the letters are so hurrendous, government goes on about paper waste and global warming but they've sent her flat around 80 letters since september!
Madness.

A licence is required only if you are watching programmes as they're being broadcast. Yes, Eastenders is pre-recorded and without a licence you can't watch it online at the same time it's on a normal TV, but you can certainly watch it on iPlayer the minute after it's finished (or whenever they upload it to the site).Dry January: 31/31 days. :T0 -

If TV is 'rubbish' and not worth the licence money, how comes it's suddenly worth watching a day later as long as it's then free?No free lunch, and no free laptop

It's OK, we can pay for him to watch the few programs he deems to not be rubbish.
I know it's legally fine to watch programs after they're broadcast without a TV licence, but morally, I find it a bit dubious. I like to give something back, and not just take, even though I don't watch live TV all that much.Squirrel! If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.

If you have a TV with a Tuner in and have an aerial installed it will be difficult to prove you are not watching live tv.0
