When I use mine Becky, I leave it on overnight, or all day. It's fine.Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

Yes Becky you can leave them on all day - make sure you get one with low/med/high settings on though as you don't want everything cooked on high for 8 hours.
I did a gammon in mine yesterday....chopped carrots and onions in the bottom - popped the gammon joint on the veg and added a pint of water and some crushed mustard seeds......opened it 4 hours later and the meat was falling to bits.....(and the most gorgeous stock to make into soup)....Tomorrow I shall be making a sausage cassarole (of sorts)...sausages chopped up (I brown them first), onions, peppers, mixed beans, passatta, garlic, herbs and a splosh of red wine. The other thing is I dont eat a lot of meat - mostly fish so I'm not sure how it would hold up in an SC - I also really like the taste of grilled food (the charred taste is nice!), plus my kitchen is tiny...hmm
Will check out the SC thread anyway and see0 -
