I bought some turkey as a replacement to chicken earlier in the week, very sceptical (only eat turkey at Christmas) but the thai red curry made in the slow cooker is lush.......meat is falling apart.

    Turkey Rocks:T

  • I keep wondering if i should invest in a slow cooker, i wouldn`t have a clue where to start & what i could put in it.

:rotfl:I may ask for 1 for my birthday in march in that case then, i like the thought of my tea being cooked when i get home instead of having to start preparing stuff when i get back.
Its very quite in here again today isn`t it or is it usually like this, i`m usually at work so don`t have the luxury of being on here in the daytime. x

There's a great slow cooker thread over on Old Style with lots of ideas. Got one a few months ago - just made various sorts of stew so far!

I`m with you Beanie, i have to do all blue & pink jobs cus i live by myself. My other half does all the cooking whenever we`re together(which is most of the time, he just won`t go as far as moving in together :o) but i do all my own DIY jobs(within reason).
