Hi all,
i'm getting fed up with my computer crashing & seeing that dreaded Blue screen (accompanied by the clicking noise).
I've had this problem for a while but lately it's been getting worse (3-4 times a day).
It can happen at anytime, but normally it happens when i'm burning a Dvd or CD or whilst browsing photo's or auctions on Ebay.
Not quite sure what the cause is though. Any idea's?

Clicking noise nomally suggests a faulty hard disk, but it could also be a driver problem
I'd suggest turning on the debug facility by right clicking my computer. System > error reporting
Untick "automatically restart" on failure and make sure write debug report is setup
If you say it's burning DVD / Browsing internet could be a bad driver, but clicking noise is normally hard drive
You could disconnect all hardware (except for hdd with O/S) and use onboard VGA, to make sure if it's that causing your issuesOwner of andrewhope.co.uk, hate cars and love them

Look under System for errors (white cross in a red circle) with the word Disk in the Source column.0

There are quite a few white crosses.........but within the "Service Control Manager" column and a few in the "System Error" column.
There are Yellow warning Triangles within a couple of the Disk/Source columns though (if that means anything).0 -
Give one of these a whirl. I suggest HD Tune, because that's the only one I've used before.0

Sounds more like your HDD is failing
I'd consider backing up now before you go any furtherOwner of andrewhope.co.uk, hate cars and love them
