  • Love the Meerkats but HATE the gold adverts, especially the new one where the men are in stupid gold outfits - too ridiculous and who in their right minds puts stuff in the post these days ???
  • It was a toss up between the Go Compare loon and the Halifax destroying my childhood memories. I went with Go Compare.

    I love the meerkats.

I hate that the rollercoaster one uses a really nice song but has a pervert of a guy in it. Looking into people's bathrooms is just wrong.

That used to be the case
  • I LOVE the Go Compare ads!!! :D
You're spelling is effecting me so much. Im trying not to be phased by it but your all making me loose my mind on mass!! My head is loosing it's hair. I'm going to take myself off the electoral role like I should of done ages ago and move to the Caribean. I already brought my plane ticket, all be it a refundable 1.
  • Am I the only person in the world who loves the 'We buy any car - dot - com' ad??

I wouldn't say I love it, but I do find it amusing. Particularly the new version with the dancing salesman. I can't work out why I think that's OK and hate GoCompare though.

Loose = the opposite of tight (eg "These trousers feel a little loose")
Lose = the opposite of find/gain (eg "I'm going to lose weight this year")
  • Most hated has to be a tie between G - Halifax "radio" (so cringe-making my teeth actually itch) and L - Nat West (so no minority groups work or bank there then?? everyone is blond and pretty, how representative of Britain today ).

Fave is definately the ING airbag ads - especially the one with the couple buying the engagement ring, I actually feel for the bloke, his face when she points to the most expensive ring in the window is priceless!! :D

  • Was fairly close between that Go Compare d*ckhead and the confused.pleb ones - but I went with the latter because pretty much every aspect of the confused ads annoys me; at least Go Compare finishes off with a weak pun (and I'm a sucker for those), so it's not all bad despite having that idiot.

Confused.com - ugh. Nasty, tacky staged "vox pop over a webcam" nonsense designed to make it look accessible and easy to use, when the only impression it gives me is that it's a comparison site for utter novices who've had no experience of anything PC-related before and for all I know use tip-ex on their monitor to correct errors. Horrid - it stinks of cynical clip joint, exploiting thickoes and people who know no better.
  • What about directory heaven from Yell?

I think there must be something wrong with me that I like all these ads. The directory heaven ad has a nice song and the We Buy Any Car one is kinda catchy.

"Any make any model any price from 50 quid to 100 grand"

I chose A, the voiceover for the Barclays ads with the pigs is really annoying. I'm surprised more people didn't pick this one.

I hate the confused.com ads as well.

I loathe and detest the meerkats one. I think it's just silly, making a whole advert out of a tenuous similarity in the sound of two words. Why would anyone want to compare meerkats? (but maybe that's the Aspie in me).

    GoCompare is pretty awful too.

who doesn't want to compare meerkats?? you need to visit the meerkat website - there you'll find a hundred reasons to compare meerkats!!!!!
