I'm proud that I'm teaching ds1(11) and ds2(8) to cook despite OHs fear that they'll slice off fingers or burn on the oven. Heard of too many kids who can only 'cook' microwave meals and determined they will grow up with confidence in their abilities in the kitchen. Also proud that I seem to have sucessfully taught them to save for something they really want instead of frittering birthday/pocket money on rubbish and that I'm teaching them to be considerate of others feelings - when grandmas dog passed away they offered to stay with her overnight so she wouldn't be on her own and sweetly (if not entirely apropriately) Ds2 offered his entire savings and told her it was to get a new puppy.0
