The "vapor" does not contain nicotine, it is water vapour.The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0

The rules about smoking electronic cigarettes in certain places where smoking 'normal cigarettes' differs from country to country - I don't think there is yet an official line but I know that some bars will let you smoke an electronic cigarette providing you let them know before hand. However some chain bars like weatherspoons will ask you to go outside as they have a brand to answer for and no one working in the bar would want to take the rap for it.
Airlines on the other hand are another story - I don't think there is an official rule set yet for e cigarettes on airlines but with all the security issues with airlines nowadays I can see it being highly frowned upon.0 -
i have never tried electronic cigarettes0

Out of curiosity;
is the 'vapor' from the inhaler bad for other peoples health since it contains nicotine? I know the smoke does the damage given the tar in it etc. but surely the nicotine element isn't too friendly?
Surely it could trigger other peoples cravings, particularly those who smoke but don't one of these e-cigarettes on the plane. Given it is still second hand smoke of sort.
Nope its just vapour, no smell, no taste, no bad chemicals given off. Means the nonsmokers can stop bloody moaning. Then again, i'm still terrified to use mine inside regardless.0 -
Gemjar, I've been using my electronic cigarette in quite a few pubs and restaurants, but always ask if it is OK first. The vapour disperses so quickly that few people even notice!
With regard to 'vaping' on a plane, have a look at this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yt0cjFt9Oxk0 -
On American Airlines to USA can you use an inhaler (nicotine) or pretend cigarette's onboard.
The plastic nicotine inhaler has a capsule inside (I was going to take a pack of 6 capsules in unbroken packet) and the Cigarette isn't one that lights up or smokes, it just tastes of tabacoo.
Can't seem to find if it's allowed on the web.
Many thanks.
Don't be such a wimp, just give up for god's sake ! If you're not going to have the real thing, why bother ?0 -

There is a lot of confusion about nicotine. Nicotine itself doesn't cause cancer. Nicotine poses a risk in pure form and concentrated if swallowed. The vapor is fine around other people. There is no passive smoke.
As for using. I've used an electronic cigarette in most pubs without problems. Legally, you are allowed to use them. The e cigarette doesn't contain tobacco and doesn't burn anything. The problem lies in educating people. I've seen more people using them since New Year.0
