Passport countersignature help

Am in the process of getting a new passport but i've stumbled across quite a big problem. I can't find anyone to countersign it. I've looked though the suggested list and can say there is no-one in any of those professions that i know and/or who has known me for 2 years.
How strict on check are they? And is there anyway around this? last had a passport about 10 years ago and i think my then GP signed it then, but i moved away for uni and haven't been back since. And my current GP has only know me for just under a year. My last hope was a uni tutor but she's vanished off the face of the earth. Has anyone else had this problem?

It will be impossible to get a passport without a counter signature. The only way round this is if you can get a renewal and even then you have to look like your old photo.
I would suggest you try it on with the Dr, he might just sign it without question. The Summer Holiday of a Lifetime0 -

No, you can have your hair any colour you like so long as the style doesn't affect certain parts of your face. The Summer Holiday of a Lifetime0 -

The post office asked if I knew anyone who was a manager, and I remembered my next door neighbour was a store manager at Burtons so he did it for me.“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0
