Its fine on a WiFi linked tablet, try it on a phone over 3g and your opinion may change

Well as this thread started almost 3 years ago and it has not been implemented and as they have started they have concerns about 3rd party apps dont seems unlikely they will allow taptalk dont you?0

I suspect the major 'concern' is that users would see less adverts

I reckon you're spot on there! I mean what risk is there really in using a 3rd party app? There are no personal details held of forum members.
