I would give it a go Becky, and if it's all like that ask what else they're planning to sing. Don't really like those sort of pop things arranged for choirs either, or opera singers doing them.... cringe... :o

I know if you are a choir then it should be like this:

In my opinion (not boys only though obviously!)

Yeah I used to love singing stuff like that. Although not when I was at college and we had choral class first thing on a Monday morning with hangovers... :rotfl:Dread to think what I'd sound like now

Can't you just get a square of velvet from a fabric shop and drape it over an old box? You wouldn't know the difference in a picture!

i want them to display the jewellery at the farmers market, instead of it being laid flat on the table

I looove the arrangement that choir did of one of the Take That songs, but generally choirs singing contemporary songs is a bit gimmicky, and hate the song you posted (the first one obviously - the second is lovely).

I would go with emailing them too. No point going if you are really not going to enjoy it, but if it's just the odd song, and generally you enjoy the music, then probably worth persevering.

You guys are right - but its prob a bit late to email for tonight so I think I will not go - sounds like its just going to be one of 'those' choirs - their other song so far is black and gold (snoreeeeeeee) so I will give it a miss and go for a run instead :)

Dont you think though Pepe that by pushing up the cost of road transport we are driving manufacturers to look at alertnatives such as rail freight and bio fuels??

Rail Freight is not an alternative and never will be. Still have to get the goods from a Terminal to the door, can you imagine the chaos around the Terminals.
Bio Fuels are enormously environmentally damaging. Hydrogen is one of the best bets but its currently in no-ones interest to invest heavily in this.....least of all HM Govt. ( A bit like banning smoking completely!)

Getting more cars off the road by getting a proper ( state-owned) commuter transport system and allowing easier movement for commercial vehicles will be the biggest help.

.....as would car drivers indicating at roundabouts! It takes at least 7 gear changes and almost a gallon of deisel to stop and start at a roundabout for a 500hp truck.
    :D:D stay wonky :D:D

....one-way ticket to Portugal booked !
