Okay I have a quandry people...

I like singing and the choir is tonight (I was going to go last week but couldnt due to that dinner)...but they sent an email round with the lyrics to what they sang last week and what they are singing this week and both are 'contemporary songs' rather than classical (which is what I sing). Now I dont mind the odd 'song' arranged for choirs, but I've just got this feeling its going to be all like that, rather than signing anything actually interesting or challenging...

Should I still go and see do you think - I cant decide if it will be a waste of time or not...

If i was you i'd go and have a look,

Becky why don't you just email them back and say you are still interested in going but wanted to know how often they will be singing contempory songs and whether they actually be doing any of the stuff you enjoy

I would give it a go Becky, and if it's all like that ask what else they're planning to sing. Don't really like those sort of pop things arranged for choirs either, or opera singers doing them.... cringe... :o

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.

I'm just outside Manchester hun ;)

My DH wouldnt be able to do it, so number not really needed. I might give the company that installed our conservatory a ring sometime. No harm in getting a quote I suppose, I just didnt want to seem totally daft if we can no way afford it

Can't you just get a square of velvet from a fabric shop and drape it over an old box? You wouldn't know the difference in a picture!
