Good Morning everyone ,well its a bit of a chilly one here in north Kent.
I arrived at my youngest DDs last night to a great welcome from the tribe and lots of smirking (I know something you don't know faces)and giggling.DD gave me my cards and some chocolates from the little boys and some lovely 'posh perfume'. Then in came the smallest one Mikey with a parcel bigger than he was.On opening it I found that inside was a gorgeous picture of the five children that my son-in-law had got transferred to a canvas. Its really beautiful and has caught all of their tribe in a very natural pose and they are all laughing and giggling. My DD and son-in-law are coming this morning to put it up for me in my sitting room. I am so chuffed with it as getting five children together for more than a minute is quite a task. We had some coffee than I helped Jack (almost 10) with his homework and then said did she want me to peel the spuds .No was the reply 'I forgot to get the leg of lamb out so its going to have to be McDonalds for something quick.Well I thought it was a bit odd as normally either Tess or Simon have the dinner on the go and we usually eat around 6.00p.m. but well I thought maybe the little ones wanted a treat as they rarely get to go to MccyD's. Mikey even asked if I would have a McFlurry with him.I am not keen on fast food but thought well it is my birthday and he does seem to be looking forward to it so said Yes O.K.
On asking where Katie my DGD was,her Mum said 'Oh she's out with Tom (the current love of her life)Hmm I thought not like her to miss her Gran's birthday, but she is growing up so fast ,(she will be 17 in March)Still kids are kids so I thought no more about it. Well off we went to McD's.Tess decided we would go to the Sittingbourne one as the car park was bigger .I'm not fussed as they all look the same .On arriving there she said 'Oh no we can't got there as it looks too crowded there is a Brewers Fayre next door so she said we'll go in there.Crafty monkey when we got in there was a table reserved for us and balloons with Happy Birthday Mum decorating it.We were just sitting down and Katie arrived with Tom in tow, and I said what are you doing here ,she replied 'well I wasn't going to miss your birthday was I Gran', her and Tom had been hiding around the corner having already been in and decorated the table .Scallywags had planned it all along. We had a lovely night and a nice meal and it was topped off with a birthday cake and the whole restaurant sang 'Happy Birthday' so all in all I had a terrific birthday and all my family treated me so well.
I had my brother phone me from France first thing in the morning, and all the folk I could't see either rang, texted, emailed or sent me a card .I really am a very lucky lady.Today my DD and son-in-law are coming to put up my picture so I can see my tribe every morning when I go into the sitting room. This afternoon I shall do my much overdue ironing and tonight I have Uni and I can hand in my essay.I have just looked on the forecast for this week and its not looking good possibly some snow again .I do hope not as it causes such disruption and 'grounds ' me indoors.I hope everyone has a good week and thanks once again for all your birthday wishes.
Cheers JackieO xxx

Good morning all
I can't quite believe it's Monday already, where has the weekend gone?!
Back at work today, but I'd rather be at home as I have loads to do!
JackieO Sounds like you've had a wonderful day yesterday, full of lovely surprises!
Well this weekend I have managed to get the shopping done for the week, and do a detailed clean of the living room yesterday. That's it :mad:. Only did about 3 loads in the WM, and the kitchen looked a bomb site when I left this morning, so will be a busy bee in the evenings this week. Am off to Mr T at lunch time to get a few bits and some milk powder and then I'll be set for the cold weather that we're due to get towards the end of the week - Quite liking the idea of a few days off if the snow is disruptive enough, then I'll be able to really get cracking on the house
:D:D
Am off now to get a plan of action together for the rest of the week, even though I should really be working.......
Have a great day everybody!!

Hello everyone!:)
Happy Birthday Jackie O for yesterday - what a lovely day you had! x:)
(hugs) PP x
Well I've hoovered and sorted tea out which will be Chicken & Asparagus Pie, croquettes, green beans from the allotment which I froze, hope they taste good when defrosted! Also got a HM Quiche out for lunch this week for me. The freezer is looking quite empty, so that's good, means I have been using up things!:) must try to resist in filling too quick!;)
Really think I should get my bum in gear and go to the gym today, havent been for a while:o so easy to get comfy indoors though this weather isnt it?
After a saga last week of people not turning up to collect/scrap my car - cant believe how difficult it is to get people to do anything nowadays, it finally went, I had it for 15yrs from new, and got quite upset to see it go - silly really just for a car, but I suppose we do get attached dont we?
Now concentrating on sorting out new windows for the house and getting some prices.
redruby - wallpaper is all in fashion now!
n9eav - good luck with trying to avoid the superbowl news!
Off to drag my gym stuff now! wish me luck! :rotfl:
have a good day all xx0 -

Morning peeps
cold here this morning and its snowing  thankfully not big flakes but only the fine stuff, it keeps stopping and starting so i`m hoping that we don`t get much. The forecast says light sleet for the next couple of days.
DH turned up the heating last night as he said it was too cold in the house but i found it a bit too warm so i`ve turned the stat back down.
Houndies have had a good run in the park, there were lots of their doggie friends out this morning so little oldie really enjoyed himself. He is nothing like the dog that we brought home from the rescue about four years ago - he`s now the most sociable and loveable creature who looks forward to seeing everyone.
Roast pork dinner for the next two days, i`ve just finished making it and plating it up so that DH can slam his in the microwave when he gets home and mines in a tub to take to w*rk. We are having stuffing, jackets, carrots, onions and cabbage with it. The cabbage has been in the fridge since before Christmas and had a BB date of 28th December on it :rotfl:it probably wouldn`t gave kept so well if it hadn`t been in the fridge though.
I have the kitchen to clean up and then i shall hop in the shower before w*rk.
Heavenleigh - ((((HUGS)))) i hope that you`ve managed to get some sleep and feel a bit better. As other have said look into things and check that you are receiving all the benefits that you are due. You really shouldn`t have to struggle this way. I hope that things improve for you soon.
PP - ((((HUGS)))) for you and your family
N9eav - Enjoy finishing off your beer
Have a good day peeps.
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon
