Happy Birthday CHOCCYBIX and MISS TRIKER:bdaycake::bdaycake:

*grumble* have woken up full of a cold - don't feel bad in myself but am snuffly and sneezy and have had a minor nosebleed.

Bed stripped. WM is now on cycle 3; TD has towels in. Ironed almost all yesterdays wash last night before I went to the EVIL EVIL quiz.... we scrored very low but so did everyone else...commiserations on the Top Trumps loss there Soappie ;)

I shall have to pop to Primani today for some decent (ie that cover me wobbly bits) PJ's for the girly sleepover tonight :rotfl: - has worked out quite well as the non-driving colleague who lives fairly close is also going so I shall pick her up (polishes halo in prep for good deed-doing).

I am most intrigued by the fuss next door - for months now a succession of heating engineers has been calling - they clearly have serious problems with their hjeating - I think it does work but from whatI have overheard, gets too hot...two different vans there today.

Which reminds me - I have had a letter to book a gas service so I had better get on and do it.

    ETA done that!

ETA Thanks Boddy! meant to add my 'get new job' wishes for Nuttyrockeress and it slipped my mind! Hope you get it, nutty!

ETA Whatever is going on next door it's very noisy :insert shrug smiley:

With the success of yesterday's cleaning up the stairs (did the paintwork), Im goin g to have a go at either the study (probably in there because it's warm and Im cold no matter how much heating is on) or the spare bedroom - both rooms of doom in a big way. I spend more time in the study (like most of every day when not out at work), so that room ought to take priority really. But there is so much to do that I dont know where to start and then inevitably do nothing.

However, I am determined that things are not going to stay this way - so study it is then! [With maybe a foray into the spare bedroom when i get bored :)]

After posting yesterday I really started sneezing, so ended up spending my snow day tucked up on the sofa reading and wallowing in self-pity!!

I'm going to do something soon, after coffee. I'm just waiting to see if S'bugs will cancel the delivery because of the snow. We haven't had any more though, and the sun is shining, so maybe they'll try to get here. I don't want to go out...

    Congatulations to grateful!!

    Morning all,

    Sorry I didn't manage to post yesterday, I was busy catching up on you all and never got round to coming back and saying;

THURSDAY'S LIST DONE TOOTS, STAR PLEASE :D

Also something I've been wondering about since I was scrubbing grout in shower with a toothbrush and some bleach, why is the gungy stuff orange  and is there a better way of getting rid of it, made me feel light-headed even with fan on and frequent breath stops!

Glad you had a good day yesterday Natty, belated birthday greetings.
Congratulations grateful, hope it all goes well, sending no sicky-ickyness vibes your way.
Sorry about your disappointment Diva, maybe the positive vibes worked and stopped her from coming whilst not up to best and making wrong decision?
Hugs and tlc vibes to all poorlies, and fed-upies.

Have made a start on today's list, bedding in WM and TD, Turkey Chilli with chocolate, vats of, in SC, smells yummy. Have to work now :( but will try to pop back later.

Have lot on mind today, worrying about 2 friends.

This is going to take me all day. 4 x children's bedrooms:eek:. DS3 and DD2 share a bedroom and I gave that a once over a couple of days ago so that shouldn't take too long. DS1's room isn't to bad. DS2's room is a disgrace. As for DD1's room I need a miracle. She is going to Paris on Sunday and I tentatively asked her if she wanted the enormous basket of washing in her bedroom washed in time for her trip. The answer was, of course, yes. That's me chained to the washing machine for another day:(

    Morning all

    Congratulations grateful.

I did all the bedrooms on Wednesday and today I've vacuumed right through downstairs (again) and I've filed bank statements into the new document box meaning the concertina file should be less likely to burst at the seams. One load of washing draped round too. Hope this will cover today's star.

Happy birthday Choccibix and Miss Triker!

MSD, sending good positive vibes to you and am sorry your OT cancelled. I bet the 10 days will whizz by. Enjoy your nap!

Serena, sorry you're feeling poorly too - there's a lot of it around. I hope Mr S doesn't let you down today.

Nutty, good luck with the job hunting - it's miserable to be stuck in a job you don't like so let's hope you get this one. Sending positive vibes!

Got a stinking headache (head feels like it's going to explode), my eyes are sore, glands are up etc .... I have this wretched cold. I went to Mr S this morning and HATED it with a vengeance - so many people in my way dithering, blocking the aisles, it was noisy, kids screaming eugh :(. Internet is SO the way to go for me! Also a pack of 5 doughnuts accidentally jumped into my trolley, not sure how they got there so tested 1 just now with a cup of coffee and they were fine ;).

Anyone fancy a HHC 11.15 - 11.45? Sorry for short notice but you can catch me up if you like :)

Hi all - I've been going my own way a bit this week just keeping things straight while the folks were here - but I haven't attacked any of the real grot spots.
I will change girl's bedding today and have got a couple of stacks of shelves to clean out but anything in the kids room is more difficult now they're entrenched for the holiday - I'll have to find ways to entice them out!
I went through another box of ancient toys from under DD2's bed yesterday (note to self - I musn't let them find the bag of stuff I'm going to chuck!)
I'm going to start now with the half hour for myself and do some exercise!
