  • Congratulations Grateful!!

AnW’sMum, the jacket count seems to be getting lower, shame I’m not closer to you – I love jackets x

Ishtar - hope everything goes ok tomorrow

    Good evening to everyone :hello:

Feeling exhausted today, woke up in the night moaning in pain from the strained rib and ended up burying my head in the pillow sobbing - DH bless him helped by stroking my back and I managed to drop back off to sleep but was really restless so I’m looking forward to my bed tonight, assuming I can get comfy with this chuffing rib pain……

Am applying for a new job as I can no longer stand being where I am so would appreciate some good luck vibes. I really hope I get it as I am close to the edge where I am at the mo and the job I have applied for seems perfect for me so fingers crossed!

I am going to start my voluntary mentoring on Monday :j I can’t wait and know it will be worthwhile for both me and the young person I will be mentoring.

DH has WFH today and done some tasks for me so we are well on our way this week, I would love to get my 5 stars but we’ll see

Hugs to all that need them x

Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes :)

I have had a lovely day, quiet but nice. This morning I went to have lunch with a dear friend, then went to the crem to have a chat to mum. Went home and had a quiet afternoon till my drs appointment at 5.10pm. Apparently there is nothing they can do about my cough that I have had for 2 months, since my first bout of flu just before Christmas. It is resistant to antibiotics supposedly and has to go on it's own. Also the more I cough the more the trapped nerve refuses to heal hence I keep getting pins and needles. It was definately confirmed that I had got flu when I was bad three weeks ago, but he also warned me to be careful if I am around any one with anything as my immunity is rather low due to the cough and sickness, so I am more susceptible. Oh great as if I don't need anything else..lol Anyway tonight I am having a quiet evening just watching Silent Witness and snuggling on the sofa with my small cat :)

I have a confession to make, I have hardly done any flying at all this week. Everytime I think I will do some something sets me back. I fully intend to get myself back on track this coming week :) So please feel free to give me a quick kick every now and again :)
*Hugs* to everyone, especially L-L and Toots.

Congratulations to grateful, ooh I am so pleased for you.

    .

Natty - I'm taking an executive decision here - you are now under orders NOT to do any flying for at least a week. Then you start at level one the week after. There will be no kicks for at least a fortnight. Your health is far more important that the housework and you need time to recover.

I'm sure Piggers and Toots will agree with me xxx

Penny - you are an inspiration. The only way I will ever achieve 50 consecutive weeks will be to move into a studio flat, alone and become agoraphobic.
This made me laugh, I've got two out of three of those and still don't have a tidy home! So can I blame DH for all the mess? :rotfl::rotfl:

Rose.. How lovely it is to hear you feeling and sounding so positive and happy.. You are obviously having a lovely time which you do truly deserve!! Enjoy you break!!
Thank you so much, I feel really touched by your comment :)

I've got as far as p.23 and felt I should post before my post gets too long!
Welcome newbies - it’s great here, you’ll like it!
Hugs MOAM, you have got a busy time coming up. Hope DH’s op goes well and DS’s assessment. Sorry about the job too
Johnina hope your hand is better soon
Hugs Sabs, lots of us have the BD so can sympathise with you
Love and Hugs to Lady Liberty (glad you went out for coffee with a friend, that’s lovely) and Diva
Seeing all your comments on TD’s reminded me of when I still lived at home and went out the shed to find the TD was on fire! LOL! It wasn’t too serious and Dad managed to put it out. Don’t know what brand it was so that doesn’t really help you making decisions about which one to get, don’t know why I brought it up really…
Penny well done on all your hard work over the last 50 weeks! You truly are an inspiration, so keep it up and one day I will join you in getting stars!
Summer, hope you are feeling a bit better now, give that BD a kick!
AnW’s thanks so much for the dog food story, that made me laugh!
FFP are you ok? You know where I am if you need to talk xx
Sexy I hope you are better now
Pigpen well done on clearing your overdraft! That’s fabulous news!

LikkleGibbon I’m trying to go for more walks too, I’m sure you can do it and lose that weight! Has anyone mentioned to you the discussion we’ve got on FB about weight loss and fitness?
Ceebeeby thanks for the tip on hovering sequins
Serena where do your family live?

Yesterday I was really tired after doing so much the previous days, and because we had a bad night's sleep (it was too hot). But felt much better today (probably because I spent most of y'day asleep!). It was a beautiful sunny day today but couldn't persuade DH to go for a walk, he's starting to feel like he's getting a cold again :(. But we did go to the cinema which was good. I really did not want to see Avatar, but DH had already seen it and loved it, and wanted me to see it so we went and actually I quite liked it. The planet in it is really beautiful and has some amazing creatures. The 3D was really good too.
DH cooked a fab fish pie for dinner, and we have had a relaxing evening. I've folded up a huge pile of washing, still got several loads to fold! And tomorrow we will be packing and then will have to go home. I really don't want to, I'm having much too nice a time! Oh well! We wil just have to persuade my parents to go away again soon! :)
