TO-DO's

• Netmums/Ebay 5 board games.
• Sort out Wardrobe in spare room.
• Sort out cupboard in the spare room.
• Decide from all of those what fits.....ebay/netmums/freecycle the rest.
• See if Chest of Drawers in Spare room can be mended. Or Freecycle
• Remove all bedding sets from the linen cupboard that never get used and Netmum/Ebay. - 1 done
• Reseal around bath..... old gunk removed and bleached, just need to apply new sealant now.
• Sort out underwear drawers, chuck what doesnt fit....send bras to

Hi everyone....

Can I have THREE stars please??

I still need to hoover and dust my room, and have started working on resealing the bath....but I havent finished yet so will need to claim that later. I have however thrown out a load of stuff from the bathroom, built the unit for in there and put on it only what is staying and actually belongs there.

I have thrown so much gibble out of this house this week its unbelievable.

I cleared out the drawer in the bottom of the coffee table as part of my lists this week, and due to the coffee table being quite new it was nothing short of shocking the amount of crapola that was already in there :eek:

Sorted out the spices cupboard in the kitchen this week too, and utilised some of the tupperware which didnt have lids and were being scrapped. These now hold spices and herbs, so I can take out the tubs and find what Im looking for easily instead of shoving everything around in the cupboard all the time. :rolleyes:

I have decluttered another black bag of clothes and some tat from the understairs cupboard. I gave my bathroom scales to my neighbour with some other bits and pieces which I no longer need.

So - all in all, its getting there.....slowly but surely.

Im off to see if the edge of the bath is no longer black (it was all mouldy under the seal :eek:) and if so I will clean it and put the new seal on.....the only thing is, it needs to be left for 24 hours.......:eek::eek::eek:

Probably should have thought about washing before I started

Happy Valentines Day everyone :smileyhea Hope you are all having a reasonable weekend. Hugs to everyone in need.

DD is off on a cross country event with the ATC, DS1 is out with TS (Toxic Sister) :mad: and her family but I did promise that I wouldn't stop the kids from seeing them if they wanted to. I haven't spoken to her in 2 years now and refuse to have any contact with her either, it's a self-preservation thing, not entered into lightly and after all other avenues failed but she still finds ways to get to me

Am keeping everything lovely and tidy and up with washing so half term not off to a bad start.

Thank you so much for sound advice as usual, always greatly appreciated. Little chance of getting others to rinse/clean shower after use, it's taken me this long to get them to hang up towels but the 'paint it on and run' approach is def. something I will try :T:D.

I think I have a cold brewing which is probably what all that sneezing was about yesterday. Feel reasonable within myself at the mo, just not quite with it and have a congested feeling in my head. But hey ho, I'll be fine. Have spent the morning writing and have just had a big fry up brunch. I need to focus on the lists this afternoon. Let'ss see where I'm at:

Another slow start to the day, but I'm starting to feel more energetic now, after taking it easy since Friday night. We had a lovely meal last night at Coal in Meadowhall and ended up in our local, listening to some pretty decent Karaoke and chatting with friends.
DS2 and I are off to Costco in a bit and I'll try to find the Lidl that's supposed to be near there, as there isn't one closer to home. Every now and then I mention the possibility of another cat to DH, but he really isn't keen. One of the cats we used to have was sick on a regular basis (not just furballs) and I think it's put him off, as they were never his favourite animal. They are mine, though, and I can't think of a better pet to have. We'll see.

they may well learn to rinse if they go in there while the bleach is still on Can you try getting a spray-and-leave shower cleaner and encourage them to use it? And then give it a good clean BEFORE you use it (no point in cleaning it for the benefit of the rest of them

Now we know why you've been so quiet...

Bathroom has been scrubbed to within an inch of it's live, and so have I. Hopefully I'll get the house back into civilised shape AND get my work done before bedtime.

I ended up going to bed at about 9 last night, and not waking up till around 8 this morning

Today I am going to throw out ALL the unpaired socks.. and put the bookcase in the alcove.. and sort the 2 ebay boxes.. and put the books back in the bookcase so my table is cleared.. been buried in books since November!

THEN.. move the towel cupboard closer to the bathroom.. and put DD4's chest of drawers on the landing and fill it with the school stuff and the school clothes cupboard in the space where DD4's cupboard currently is and fill it with DD4's clothes..

That should make a large difference in the apparent clutter in the girls room and on the landing and definitely a huge difference in the back room..

First job.. socks and shoes.. I hate dropping cupboards on my feet!.. then corned dog hash in the SC for dinner... NYOMNYOMNYOM!!

pigpen - be careful! You've inspired me to have a fling too this afternoon. I have loads of gym stuff in a under the bed drawer and I doubt I'll ever wear it - oxfam I think. I also want to do some financial bits - I went over my inclusive (1000!) text allowance this month by £10 so not happy about that, I'm only on a sim only rolling contract and can save £5 a month and get unlimited 02 texts which should sort the problem out- must've been texting DH too much! We are a bit skint at the moment so need to look at making some savings!

I need a list, DH doing the cleaning so I will do some other things:

Sort through clothes for flinging
phone 02 and change phone contract
wash dressing gown & other bits
meal plan
check CC bill and tell DH so he can pay it
look at service for next Sunday
Speak to mum
make lunches for tomorrow
return trousers to Sains & buy 2 new tops.
send off discovery try me free reciept

Lemanie - My brother has a toxic half sister who i had to be near yesterday :mad:

Hope everyone is having a lovely valentines day , i am single so this is a regular day for me lol.

Have to take my brother back to his college in Enham / Andover later which is a 1.5 hour drive there and 1.5 hour drive back plus a hour or two settling him back in.. want to be in bed by 10:30 today and asleep by 11:00 because i have been getting too tired in the evenings

Doctors tomorrow i have pcos (poly cystic ovarian syndrome) so need to discuss that with him (again :eek:) also he left me a note on my repeat prescrition saying i need an appointment by the 15th no later... so i am sure he has some thing nice to moan about or ask me or review lol.

right off to fly for a bit x
