  • Welcome Jubilee76 lovely to have you joining us on this journey . Good luck with clearing your debt for 2012, it seems so daunting to start with, but I must admit by breaking it down over the 3 years it doesn't seem as bad. Keep in touch and let us know how you are doing.

The boots sold on ebay last night, after all costs and postage, I have made £12.63 profit, which doesn't seem too bad when you think they were just taking up space in my wardrobe. So now I have the £12.63 plus £13.17 won from matched bet, £3.97 change jar plus the £2 coin = £31.77 to pay off choice, the statement came in the post this morning, the usual payment is £27 together with this £31.77 which will leave £62.58 to find. I really want to pay this off by the end of Feb.

I didn't get round to listing any items on ebay last night but I did find a few betting sites to use for matched bets. So I will get another bet done this week and list some items on ebay tomorrow evening for 5 days to end on Sunday. Plus I still have the motorbike trousers to sell which are listed on ebay which end on Sunday. Fingers crossed I can make a bit more this week.

I am still clicking daily on the cashback sites and scratchcards, so this should accumulate to some free money, may see some of that start to come through in March.
    Make £10 a day challenge - January 2023 = £292.89/£310 - Feb 2023 = £677.09/280 - March 2023 = £102.45/£310 - April = £300.12/300 - May 2023 = £306.80/£310 - June = £245.88/£150 - July = £295.45/£310 - August 2023 £51.56/£310
  • Hi Welshsaver

Well done on the sale on Ebay! Do you know its free to post items on Thursday and Friday if done in auction format? I am going to photograph all my bits and pieces tonight and then do them Thursday before heading to my mums for the weekend. :T:T

I am at £9.45 on One Poll. How do you do the daily clicks??

    Best wishes
    K x
  • Thanks for the tip karenlyth25, I will wait and list them on Thursday and Friday. Found about 10 items, so I will put them all on for 10 days and hopefully some of them will sell. The only thing is I will have to wait for the money until March. So still need £62.58 by the end of Feb, can definitely do a couple of matched bets and hopefully the motorbike trousers and book I have listed will sell. Do you know if the free listing includes buy it now items?

The daily clicks are through cashback sites such as quidco, greasypalm etc. There are so many of them, I am sure you will find more as you are searching. If you look at 'recurring' or 'free cash' headings, you can find you can click and do searches to earn 2p/4p a time, they do say not to abuse this, so I try to do other things instead some days, eg. signing up for free dvd rentals to earn £10 cashback etc. I hope this helps karenlyth25.

Not much to report today, went food shopping mainly for stuff to make pancakes tonight, can't wait I love them. Then we are off to a dog training class tonight, first one, but we definitely need to learn more as he is such a livewire.

  • Hi welshsaver! You have remotivated me! I have been getting a bit lax latley!!
    From one welshy to another!!
  • Morning Welshsaver!

No its only on auction format. :(

    Good luck with your selling!

    Karen
  • Thanks BEAT THE DEBT, I was getting lax too and had to start this diary to push myself, otherwise in a years time the debt would be the same or greater . Glad to have motivated you .

Thats a shame Karen, I was hoping to list them free on Buy it Now. I will list a couple today on buy it now. I have also been given two £10 free bets on a couple of betting sites I joined a while ago so I will have a look soon to see what to place them on, hopefully should net me £10-£15 profit this week.

I also decided to advertise my motorbike helmet in the local paper, so maybe that will sell by the end of the month.

  • Hi, Just thought Id wish you some luck in your journey, as I am joining you on a similar one!

Im also in Wales and going to be 40 in 2012 too!!! I have £17,000 of debt to pay. My snowball DFD coincides with my birthday (June), so it is a great incentive to be debt free by then.

    Good luck!!!!
    £2 coin challenge = 50/250 (20% there)
Olympic challenge = 0.7% paid off
  • Thanks mended, good luck with your journey too. It is great to think we could both, along with Jubilee, be celebrating being debt free in the same year.

First of the free bets went well tonight and made me a profit of £6.26, with the other due to clear tomorrow evening. I will update with the total amount left to find to pay off choice once the bet has settled tomorrow evening.
  • Things have been a bit hectic over the last few days, but I did promise to update on how the money making was going. The final outcome for the matched bets was £6.26 + £6.38. I also have another 3 x £2 coins, plus we used 3 free admissions into the cinema this weekend courtesy of Tesco, which was a saving of £14.10. Therefore I had £31.77 + £27 usual payment, plus £32.74 made/saved this week = £91.51 to pay off choice.

Also some other good news is that an ebay item has a bid on and is ending tonight, so some more cash due to come in there.

So at the moment I have to find £29.84 to pay off choice by the end of Feb. It's all seeming a lot more possible now :rotfl:

    Keep going WelshSaver..

BTW it may help to split out your debts in your sig file..that way you get to put a nice red line through them as you lower them or better still write them off. Its always good to see..and a real motivator to see how far you've come on the DF journey!!. Otherwise (unless theres a good way round this) you can't have a 'historical' signature on these forums and it then looks as if you have not travelled as far as you really have..
