Have also received a letter from clubseasons today. Says I have won a prize to the value of £3750 and need to ring a freephone number to authenticate the claim, having rang the number, the operator didn't sound to pushy and I was advised I would need to pay an annual maintenance fee of £337, would like to here from anybody who has actually taken up this "Prize"

Do a search on ClubSeasons you will find out a lot.

Holidays are what you do to get rid of stress, ClubSeasons is about conning people out of money.

My view is that if you are a bit of a weasel you might come out of this well but be on your guard!!!
  • Am I missing something here, I've never been able to figure out why I would pay thousands for a timeshare, whether it be a 1/52nd share of some apartment somewhere, or a promisary week of a holiday, usually where someone else chooses for me. Then boy oh boy they allow me to pay them hundreds of pounds every year for the rest of my and my childrens life, for maintainence, If I don't pay they take it back without giving me my thousands back.
Wake up for Pete's sake, you can rent these same apartments anywhere and any time you like for less than the "owners" are paying for maintainence.
If you own timeshare, all you own is the right to give someone else, much richer than you, hundreds of pounds every year for nothing, don't kid yourself you own a building or anything else.

I received a recorded delivery letter from this crowd advising me I had won a prize to the value of £3750. I googled them & came up with this forum, surprise surprise. Thank you everyone for confirming what I already thought. I think it's 1 thing being sent a letter, but recorded delivery is out of order, a lot of people get quite concerned at having a recorded delivery letter, plus as I wasn't at home at the time of delivery I had to go & collect from the sorting office 5 miles away!

I also won this SO called prize 6 months ago, have they phoned you yet, you have to pay a maintenence of over £300 per year, it says they are not a timeshare company but they are, take the letter and put it in the bin cause if you wanted to go on holiday at a certain time then u wouldnt get the weeks you require, BIG CON. Ta Grant
  • I too have been lucky enough to win this 'prize'. The letter,of course, made no mention of the annual maintenance fee. Surely the principle of winning a prize is that it should cost you nothing to claim. This is far from free and therefore not really a prize by any definition. I will certainly not take up the offer and would advise anyone else to leave well alone.

My mum and sister and her children are currently on a C-S week's holiday. My mum was "awarded" this "prize". Her logic is that she can take advantage for a year and then forget it. She won't go to the lectures either.

They are very complimentary about the accommodation.

I am adding this information reluctantly as I hate C-S/Myoffers and their phony prizes, but my rellies are very happy with it at the moment - will keep yu posted!!

There is a Club Seasons establishment at Laugharne & I intend having a look around but I am extremely sceptical about my "win". This kind of "win" is almost without exception a bait.

I agree, when it comes to the time she wants to "escape" from this deal I will let you know what happens
