Cannot Get Onto Internet After shop Repair

Again not sure how I managed it but everything is now working on my Pc. Just one thing though, it keeps asking me to activate windows and now got 28 days left to do this. I don`t know what the numbers are to do it, so any help would be appreciated. I have got Windows Xp Media Center





Don`t know how I did it but I managed to get onto the internet but I have find myself being cut off whenever my house phone is answered and I have no sound on my Pc. To top off a bad weekend the shower has broke and my handbrake on my car broke when I parked the car Saturday night.

Am using my mobile to write this and walking dog so I apologise for any spelling mistakes in advance. I took my Pc last Tue to Maplin to have it repaired and more memory installed because I did a restore to earlier date and turned Pc off before restore completed as I was late for work. I not been able to use Pc at all. Anyway I picked it up this morning and he said the Pc would not accept the extra memory but he put something else in it which did exactly the same job and said I needed to download drivers and could get it all on Gigabyte.com which would be great if I could get Onto Internet. Please help a desperate man walking dog his dog in intense fog and does anyone know why there are hundreds of mole hills where people walk dogs because I never seen so many mole hills in my life. Oh, one last thing so you feel real sorry for me now. I bought a new dog collar this morning which was nearly 15 quid and its tom big which I just found out when he ran off into the dog and just spent ten mins shouting and running after him as visibility about 5 yards. Thanks for any replies in advance. I need a shot now.

How do you connect to the internet (wireless, ethernet, USB)?
What exactly is the error?

Definitely need more info and also... what on earth is this "not memory but does the same job"???
Depending on how you connect to the internet then it could be you have managed to wipe the log on details or any number of things really. What I WOULD however question is that if you paid someone to upgrade the machine then SURELY they should have installed any drivers that you might need??? I have done my fair share of upgrades both my own and for others and I'd never dream of handing a machine back that wasn't "ready to rock" - especially if I had got paid for it!!
