Seriously dude I listened to a 20 minuite spiel from my ex on Monday about "I was offered an iPhone but said I didn't want one" blah blah blah blah basically trying to demonstrate will power and thrifiness to me, whilst I was looking at the status update on Facebook "xxxxx has installed facebook for iPhone". Along side three other contracts that don't get used... Just the latest in a seemingly never ending string of lies. There was a similar lie in March about how he'd won a phone in a competition for getting a 100% mystery shop... but was again another contract he'd taken out.

... It's the constant lying coupled with the knowledge that his financial ineptitude means we'll never ever be able to embark on a joint venture like a house or holiday etc whilst remaining solvent.

Had enough of it mate, but knowing how lies be them tiny or massive can ruin a relationship and then being accused of doing the same myself, well...

Barclays internet banking looks pretty impressive....i like the stats about how much credit you have used up, £Xamount since last statement and how much left up to the CL. Thanks for sharing that Izools.

Mmm yes they also have a feature where your monthly spend is categorized and you can view it in a pie chart giving percentage breakdowns of your spend split across categories like entertainment, groceries, technology, etc.

    I do like it :)

    Hey all!

Has anyone who holds a Barclaycard Initial account applied for a Barclaycard Breathe??

I have an Initial card with a £1,150 limit and £700 balance, opened at the beginning of November. Is it worth applying for the Breathe later in the year? Anyone else done the same thing? How long do you reckon I should wait? Worth doing exactly six months from the date the Initial was opened or leave it a bit longer?

    Thanks all :o

Have you looked at your current customer offers? That is how I applied for 2nd Barclaycard Oyster.

No offers at the moment... Did the Oyster appear in your offers without you having to inquire or apply then?

On barclaycard website, you have a section for credit card for current customers, this is how I applied. I chose that one because of the 6 months purchase interest free, there was no offer on balance transfer on that card but when card arrived the other day, added to online banking and they were already offering me 6.9% balance transfer on the new card. No credit check has been done, however I was given a much lower credit limit compare to other to start with

Ah right, yeah this is why I was talking about the Breathe. The Oyster isn't open to Barclaycard initial customers, but the Breathe is.

So I'll apply for that when the 7th statement lands :o

love barclaycard's website, it's sooooo useful

You can even re-categorise the definition of spending.. so contact lenses can be changed from medical to vanity!

  • Izools,
I started a similar thread tonight. Slightly different circumstances but I am also hoping to go from Initial to Breathe.
I'll update this thread as well as the one I started if/when I apply through the existing customer route.
