thanks Lesley. Am very excited to hear yours and DH's responses later
Allegra, loving risi e bisi (have you spotted my dodgy italian in the meal planners? Do please correct it!) would a spoon of pesto work in lieu ofparsley and cheese component? xxx:D
My Italian is no better, I'm afraidI'm actually from the coastal Croatia - the bit that was under the rule of Italy for many, many years - which is why we cook italian dishes with pidgin italian names
And as someone said a few posts back (apologies, but I read in a rush and the name escapes me) - even subsistence tastes soooo much better in italian !
Anyways, I think pesto would be molto bene :j
ETA: Fingers crossed all is well and the scare turns out to be nothing serious. Look after yourself x0 -
oh dear:( sending lots of love to weezl, am, fergus and kester. lets hope everything's ok.weaving through the chaos...0

I'd love to join in but am unable to do so because of assorted dietary restrictions that make it hard enough budget or no budget. I tried to adapt the shopping list for my needs but got to £100 before I was 3/4 of the way through. If I ever found myself in this situation I would have to resort to dumpster diving but I keep lurking to see what I can learn.
Hoping all is well.NSD 0/150 -
I goes well at the hospital Weezl.

I have just noticed your light on... I do hope things went well0 -
Hello
I'm back for a bit. I'll be going into hospital morning and evening for injections of blood thinner into my bump until ultrasound establishes that clot/clotting risk has gone.
So life goes on...
And you have all been up to lots while I've been away. Many thanks, as was intriguingly pointed out earlier, this is an energetic thread and I really like the creativity and sharing of views
Weezl.....
Thats the carrot cake survey tweaked...
I had to delete your response, so that I could add more questions
Do you wish to have a look at it before I post the link ?
Or shall I just crack on and post it ?:D
Crack on and post it!Sian_the_Green wrote: »Umm, wasn't sure if you had rejected my attempt as I had said it wasn't as jam like as I would have liked. The next night I added another 50g of sugar and cooked up and it was really nice, great as a side to something more 'bland' like bread or cheese or onion tart or sweetcorn fritters
Oh sorry Sian, no I liked yours, and did the same and agree about the sugar. The next chutney was a way of getting a full blue/purple portion of F and V out of one serving, so it was going to be another flavour of chutney. But didn't get time to explain before going to the Drs!
Shall I post my other chutney idea?twinkle_star wrote: »So what I'm essentially getting at is lets just get the reource up and the Bob and Shirley's of the world will make it fit their families themselves.

Shall I pop it in post number 1, and maybe periodically link to it again from time to time?

That would be grand if its not too much trouble- dont want to unnecessarily add to your work load tho- btw found your bread recipe so one thing less for you to remember - thanks anyway.
A friend was rushed to hospital with suspected DVT recently - turned out to be wind:o - doesnt sound like yours is so simple - I wish you luck.

As some of you may have worked out, I have made up a survey for those that have tested the carrot cake.
My questions have been based on the link on post 2...
