I'm really sorry guys, but I'm not going to be able to keep going at this rate. I've got a half hour break now (had half hour for lunch earlier but was eating:p) and I'm, what, 300 posts:eek:, behind the thread from where I left it last thursday.
If someone wants to pm me the meal plan/ shopping list (when it's ready) to print out then I'm still more than happy to test it and keep a record of how it goes, but there's no chance I'm catching up on a saturday (the only day I'm not working and the library's still open) with the speed of this thead.
again, sorry.Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you. Anne Lamott
It's amazing how those with a can-do attitude and willingness to 'pitch in and work' get all the luck, isn't it?

Hi,
I have just been reading the thread and have a quick tip - I seen on weezl's list that she buys asda wheat bisks, this doesn't make sense but 2x12 (0.72p each) packs are currently cheaper that 1x24 pack (just over £2.00).
I know it is only pennies, but it all adds up x2022 Target - Reduce new mortgage balance after house move - Part 1 (Ported) Starting balance £39,982.12 currently £37,242.19 Part 2 Starting Balance £101,997.88 currently £96,197.38 (as at 19/04/2022)0 -
I think ariarnia has a good point, oops.
Just deleted my angry post from earlier, still agree with the ethos though, let's limit to Bob and Shirley related talk or gentle banter eh? I do so hope our little get together can continue to be discussed and that by meeting in real life we will get to see how similar we really all are. I do try and imagine what people look like reallyGod is good, all the time

There can never be a perfect nutritional diet because everyone is individial some people may be able to make some vitamins while others can't, some people have allergies etc but having some basic knowledge about what we ought to eat and equally important what not to eat is crucial and Weezl you are helping to educate all of is in this and opening interest for many
:T Totally agree. Broccoli, for instance, is sometimes touted as a superfood and a cure for many of life's ills - yet for me, it could be lethal. Drinking plenty of milk is generally taken to be a very good thing, but tell that to a lactose intolerant person. And peanuts are full of nutritional goodness - yet some people can not even handle them without becoming seriously ill.
So, in my humble whatsit, I think that "healthy" is a relative term, and regardless of how many nutritional guidelines a meal planner meets, someone will always be unhappy about the healthiness or otherwise of it. Weezl has set out on the first page of this thread what "healthy" is to mean in terms of this menu planner - but if that is really such a sticking point with so many people, perhaps the tagline should not be "Feed yourself a healthy diet on £25 per month" but "Feed yourself for £25 a month on more than NHS 5 a day, with sufficient fibre, avoidance where possible of harmful transfats, enough protein and carbohydrate to sustain health and maintain weight, and enough vitamins and minerals for health". Something catchy like that, anyways
Weezl, if you genuinely feel that the first month planner is not ready to be rolled out live for Thursdy, of course I would be more than happy to wait until you are happy to let us loose with it - but equally, I do not seek perfection - tweaking things as we go along is something I can quite happily live with. And of course, I am really excited about it and raring to go, but equally I do not wish to pressure you, especially as I can be of no practical help at this stage. So, up to you, Chief :j
However, I would appreciate it if you could let us know soon if you are planning to delay the start of the "live trial", so I can mealplan for the time until then, cos I feel a bit panicky if I haven't got my menu plan stuck to the front of the fridgeAnd if you're not planning to delay it, is there any way for me to see the latest mealplan without having to go to to the windows live environment, cos my 'puter really struggles with it

I dunno where I got this from - probably way off the mark, as usual - but I thought for some reason that Weezl is an English lass living in Wales, hence no Welsh accent ?0 -

I think this is true as I swear she's mentioned it before??
weezl, hugs, we love you & no apologising for your emotions! Remember that adorable little boy you pushed out not long ago? BLame him! :rotfl:
maybe B&S should have a pig's head
in keeping with what people are saying re: politics, maybe your essay on sugar should be on your blog or somewhere else weezl, as I'd hate for that to start derailing too. I think you're in danger of becoming overly defensive - the planner has 5-a-day and provides for X vitamins/minerals while keeping under RDAs for sat fat & sugars, then that should be all that matters!top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne
would like to win a holiday, please!!
