We had some leftovers last night, I don't want to waste them!

I have had a look at your list and I'd like to have a bash at this one if that's ok with everyone?
Having become quite the leftover queen myself recently, this is the one I'd feel most confident doing.

I was just wondering if you had anything specific in mind Weezl? I was planning to gather and put together some general leftover tips but if you envisaged it differently please do say :)

general tips is great, I'll add a post tomorrow with a couple of things that are specific to Bob and Shirl :)

    Wow! They're amazing!

Is it only you who can see them in google docs? Do they not give you a URL to linkie to from here so we can click on them if we like that kind of thing (me!) or not if it makes our head explode (ISOM:rotfl:;))

Ah good :a "phew" smilely would be good here: :)

I was looking for a URL, but it links to the actual survey form....
The only way that I can see, is to share it properly, and not just to view it.
    That's not a problem.
I just wasnt sure how much you wanted to see/not see :o
And I am not sure who else would find it interesting :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Just wanted to say that i very rarely batch cook but take out the night before whatever it is that i am having for that nights meal and cook it when i get home from work. I generally leave at 0800 and get home 1800 and this is not a problem for me. When i buy in my food i do package it up into portions ie cut up a pack of mince into 2 or 3 and portion them separately same with things like chicken thighs etc. I use SP food bags and dont use ties or anything and never had any probs. Shirl might like to buy some sticky label and write down what things are but, as she is not buying much meat dont think she will get too confused. HTH if not sorry:)

    no it's a good idea :)

We can make it very clear that the batch cooking is totally optional and only if she'd find it helps with busy life

The only other thing, I can think of, without sharing it, if you are not up for that,
Is if you ask a question, and I give the figures...
A bit time consuming, and may only work well, if both logged on at the same time....
    Sorry :(

If you do want to share, PM me your email and I will sort it out :)
But will understand if you dont want to ... it is alot to look at :o:)

He also said, 'you've shot yourself in the foot here weezl giving me a curry with baked beans and garlic, when you always moan at me for trumping like an old dog!'

might stop him impregnating you for a week or so though eh!!:D Again nothing useful to offer other than maybe to have made pepys chucckle! I was chuccling to myself as I remembered whe I first "met" weezl and was amazed that she actually weighed a tsp of marmalade and could say how long a jar would last...two challenges later and she she is getting people to weigh a portion of herbs:rotfl::rotfl:sorry just tickles me as I envisage people doing it (weighing herbs that is!)...I'll get my coat!

Just been having a think about B&S( when do i not? these two take up so much of my thoughts).:rotfl:
Lorietta more directed at you as you seem less confident/experienced in your cooking abilities. If storage was not a problem does the thought of a batch day of cooking leave you wanting to run for the hills or do you think "well thats it out of the way for a week/fornight/month" or are you quite up for the challenge.
Or would you prefer to do things on a day to day basis (still following a plan) building up your confidence with each new meal knowing that if things go pear shaped you could come and ask for help?
Feel free to not answer or tell me to mind my own. I am asking as you raised some very pertinent questions earlier that some of us more experienced cooks may not have thought of as it comes more naturally to us. But as i have said before we all have different areas of expertise and what seems easy to some may seem impossible to others.
This sounded good in my head whilst walking the dog but not sure if i have expressed myself well enough now that i am back so apologies if this sounds like garbage. Will have to carry paper and pen and write things down as i go along (i talk to myself and the dog so surely i cant look any weirder can i??????????)

good points shanks, as ever :)

I think about Bob and Shirley all the time too, and I know Allegra and Lesley have said similar things. I like being united with you all in a common cause :)

I wanted to ask actually if you might like to write a little piece for Shirley called 'but what if DD doesn't like peas?' I know you would have to adapt the planner a bit yourself (no apple in your peas soup!) so I know you'll have thought through how easy/hard that seems on this planner.

Do let me know if you'd like me to spell out more about what it might need to contain :)

Let me know if real life means you haven't got time for that, I'm always keen to avoid overburdening people:o. xxx
