I think I've done all the main meals but would value your help with checking the batches and quantities are good for

    everything involving the apple
the carrot cake 4 batches and the cereal bars (also 4 batches I think, but it's whatever doesn't make us go into huge stock deficit or positive IYSWIM?

    How does that sound?

Oh and the pate needs adding too?

also now we know mustard is 2.5g per tspn and most recipes are 1-2 tspns can you rescue any mustard anomalies?

Sorry to be so woolly of head, I'm not feeling right today :)

sorry you're not feeling right today, Kester getting you ready for his arrival maybe?

happy to help with checking figs. Can you give me access via Googledocs and I can then download and check in a proper spreadsheet program :). Or if Googledocs won't play ball, you can always whizz it over

whole milk is 3.6% fat, semi is 1.8 and skimmed is 0.2.

Or was it calories per 100ml you were after C?

    Calories and goodness generally....

I've got the general idea that Syns translates into calories as far as I can see...though I may be "off" on that angle...

Its got a bit "lost in the mists of time" by now remembering the details of those phone conversations with "Slimming World central" when I found (yet again......) that whatever-food-it-was-that-I was about to eat wasnt featured on the Syns list and had to ring and ask them. I did have the basic idea how they worked this out back then...but can really only remember the general idea I came up with - which was along the lines of "If they dont feature a lot of the healthy type foods - then the reason must be because those who stick to healthy foods have little tendency to put on weight in the first place......hmmm......"

Just made the pate as per recipe in the other place. Dead simple to make. Cooking time took a bit longer than on recipe about 17mins and for me the smell was not pleasant.
Result a nice coarse pate with a lot of flavour. A bit too livery for me might be better with chicken liver though that will put up cost considerably so i give it a 6/10 but ex rated it 8/10 would make it again though and wont take Shirley any time at all.

Weezl, see my reply on vegan thread regarding your calcium question

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=30948175&postcount=1181

I hope this is useful. I am glad I tend to use ground almonds instead of cheese when veganising recipes as its so good.

    Hope you are feeling better.

    SKIMMED COW'S MILK
Calories per pint: 195. Fat per pint: 0.5 grams.
Skimmed milk contains 0.1 per cent fat and about half the calories of the full-fat version. However, even though fat is removed, it still retains most of its nutrients.
In fact, skimmed cow's milk contains slightly more calcium than full-fat milk because calcium is found in the watery part, not the creamy part.

So if you water it down be aware that you are actually making it harder for yourself to get the nutrients such as calcium. It is not that the 'evil supermarkets' want to ruin our lives by stealing the fat. They know that most people want to have a lower amount of fat but that it is still important to have those nutrients, especially for children and for women who need to prevent osteoperosis.
