  • umm...may I be so bold as to make a suggestion? This thread and all with it have moved very fast..an awful lot has been done in a very short time which in some ways is good but in others has meant little time for reflection amongst the busyness. Bob and Shirl will, I think take time to get to grips with a new way of living so can I suggest a slight change in focus to give them, and us, all time to adjust? What about a slightly more expensive plan to start with and then the challenge is go to down after making initial changes and getting used to cooking etc. Initially this will be more expensive tha the 100 but then I think it will be a huge improvement on what they spend; realising that they can live on less you can then take them even lower....weezl maybe think of it as like me with my cc...remember the tearful panic I had thinking I couldnt live without one? Here I am six months later having no access to one and not even using my o/d....and with money in an ISA for goodness sake and thats thanks to you! (ok theres still the 30ish grand of debt but whats a few quid between friends eh!!). I guess what I am saying is that even if the budget goes up a bit it will still be of value but I appreciate its not the vision you already had...

I want the process to continue, this is more about me loving the thread and feeling part of something though I think but I think it can help people too.

I think we have to admit Shirley and Bob are not perfect nor will they ever be-for me, especially, it riles me that ''Bob'' does not cook, demands meat and potentially eats all the food. This is because I do not accept men like this and my relationship is very different.

Ceridwen probably feels that Bob and Shirl are silly as they are not
buying free range eggs and so on, others may not understand why baking bread may be a hardship (or powdered milk)each of us have out own standards of what is and isn't acceptable.

So, maybe, Weezl your hang up is that you want them to have the perfectly healthy diet you know that you can give them....however I don't think that may be possible as they still will want their treats and meat (grrr) and eggs!!

So a compromise may be in order.....I think we can do this for £100, I really do!!!!! But in reality the plan may not have all the omega 3 or calcium or sodium or other random nutrient that the government recommends. I have a good diet and theres no way I do, but its still healthy!!!

So maybe we should expect Bob and Shirl and the gang to have a healthy diet...just not THE perfect diet! As I don't think there is anyone of this thread who has said yet-''yes I have the best diet possible''. So if we cant do it-why are we expecting them to?

I have had vino so apologies of that is really silly

weezl That sounds like my kind of a menu plan! My 3DSs, DB and DH are happy with it too.

I want to try it on my men but I will have to add eggs into lunches and breakfasts as my girls are laying again:)

It would probably be ok now although his lungs might not yet have enough surfactant so he might need a little breathing help, but he would be very likely to be ok. If I were Kester I'd be about to be born tomorrow (I was a bit prem, and have been in a rush about everything ever since :o:D)

But ideally I'd like him to come on or after March 9th because then he can be born here at home like fergie was, and that is good because hospitals are manky :rotfl:

(FWIW, I did a few starjumps the week before Finn was born...wonder if that's why he was a day early? ;))
