I'm ignoring the fact that it's the bank's money, through my overdraft, and the government's and university's, through my student loan and bursary.
Even my wages were from the uni. (It still hurts to type that

Exactly. So much better to buy things with your own money. Loan sharks make soo much from the buy now pay later attitude. Come back on here in 3 years i wonder where everyone will be? There will be less mortgage free wannabees and the people on the loan board now will be on here, everyone on here will have started up a little saving club as the saving board is so quiet....i know one thing for sure im going to use every little bit of info iv learned from here to get myself an emergency fund saved up, the best deals around for everything from car insurance to xmas pressies to gas bills. Iv had such an early lesson im so grateful :TWork in progress...Update coming July 2012.

Fresh air might help along with a couple of huge painkillers. Main solution is time.....so I'd recommend going back to bed!

It's definitely best to find out young. Now that I've lost my job, I don't see myself clearing the cards that fast but I know I've got my life ahead of me. I can get a job after graduating, pay off my cards and overdraft and then save for a deposit on a house. I don't feel like I have to spend every penny I've got to make myself happy.

Well done Becky and Sally!
Rictus, it's made a big difference to me too. Although I still get to the end of the month and worry about my debt money, because I've forgotten I put it aside at the beginning of the month. So many years of that sinking feeling have made it instinctive I think.
Well, fake moussaka is in the slow cooker, I've got a big thing of beef mince too. I think I'll do a chilli with it, and then a veg curry after that. What can I put in the chilli to bulk it out, I've got chopped toms, baked beans, but what else? I've got some chick peas but they're more of a curry thing.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0
