He did indeed - he got a new pb (well pb since he's started running again after a few years off from running as a youngster ifyswim) and a new highest wava - hes now at 75% of the world record

Time was 37:32 - am very proud of him :D
  • Urrg! If I ever decide I want an energy drink again, remind me of this please. I was trying to use up the last two cans from the week from hell. I'm half way through one and feel awful. I must still be sensitive after having so many that week.

Oh well, can't lie in bed complaining all day, much as I'd love to. :D I need a shower and I've got work to get on with.

so say someone has 4 ounces for their breakfast...plus milk....lots of calories....

certainly would  That would be a third of a standard box!!

Mr Foxy is back in my garden again, curled up on the lawn. He must be a regular visitor as he is acting as if he owns the place.

For graze fans - in Asda they have a big flat packet split into 4. It is different nuts and I think seeds or covered nuts (almost typed nits!) and looks just like a graze box, only about twice the size. They are reduced down to £1.99. They were with the packets of dried cranberries/dried strawberries in the veg. aisle

    Morning all...
Ironing to do,chicken and veg in SC for tea..what else is going on??
BB-I know Mallorca pretty well..we have kept a boat there for last 12 years or so and have been right round the island many times..have you considered southwest? Around Santa Ponsa/Andratx/San Telmo???Also, if you like rugged coasts the NW is good-Soller is a lovely town with an old fashioned tram line through the orange groves down to the port.....please ask if theres owt you want to know...

I like the look of Soller, but it's expensive to stay there _pale_ and a bit too far transfer wise :( It's well over an hour with a shuttle service each way. The north generally looks really lovely.

Looking for somewhere non-British with a quiet beach. Bars which are small and local run with small but good quality restaurants. Bus stop nearby as we never hire a car. No more than 45 minutes transfer. We don't like 'posh' resorts, mostly because that pushes up the prices inthe bars but similarly we don't like the really British resorts where everywhere just sells fried breakfasts and cottage pie.

Not looking at Magaluf and Palma Nova looks similar. I have emailed about 6 owners so far. The nicest one had availability showing but he hadn't updated it.......Cala something on the east coast.

There's lots of hotels or large complex style self catering available that is really cheap but we prefer self catering to being tied to meal times or going out for drinks etc and the extra space an apartment gives. It's just a bit of a surprise how early the season starts there price wise!

What's Alcudia like? I've found a place which faces a lake but is only 150m the other direction to the beach.

Edit: funnily enough just had an email back from the place by the lake.....510 euros between us. Also had a beautiful, large apartment with a big roof terrace with beach view in Palma Nova but I would need to research how British that is these days.
