    Hello everyone!

Well done on starting running again hypno :T

My frozen shoulder is really hurting me today, must have slept on it funny :(

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

morning Butti, how did your POF party go? i'm on that site and saw the events but am a bit wary of them...

    I'm finding it really weird

(Before I say anything I should say I've been brought up with this view that nobody is ever good enough, including me, for my family - everyone is either too tall, too fat, too thin, too short, not attractive enough, out of my league, not intelligent enough, not academic enough, too academic and not practical enough, too old, too young, too poor, too tight - As you'll have gathered basically no man is good enough for me and I should become a nun. Although that would require a drop in income that would be unacceptable to my family :(

Hence I find myself single at 42 and trying desperately to undo 30 years of crap psychology c/o my parents)

Still looking at the positives I haven't lost my sense of humour.....and I did go out with a man last year who had 4 missing teeth and was earning less than me. He was lovely and very good for me. Didn't quite work out but did give me a bit of hope.

I got a lift from P, who is nice but maybe not right (trying to work out whether that is for me or just the family) Then spent the whole evening with him because didn't feel right abandoning him. If I'd have gone on my own I'd have probably spent the whole night standing on my own! Don't know how I solve that connundrum.

But I don't know, I think I got really really lucky last year because (this is going to go back to my main paragraph so feel free to throw things at me) the people seem predominantly quite rough to me. Loads and loads of skin on display and quite a lot of chest hair. I have been told I am quite opinionated and judgemental though (Insert confused smiley)

P told me at the POF party that I have a great sense of humour. Think that was the foot in mouth incident from work.

Workmates were discussing one day (predominantly male office) how oysters are supposed to taste like semen. I said 'I couldn't comment, I don't think I've ever had oysters'

thing is, how did they know ??

i was wondering of the events were used more as a pulling place rather than a social thing. i've met a few men from POF, and chatted to some who were 'mercy chats' and i had no interest in them but i didn't want to be horrid to them.
