Counselling qualification
Preparing to Teach (is it something he might like to do?)
Award in Work Skills (only level 1 but might help him with motivation)
ECDL
book keeping as I've already listed
That's all we have which are accredited (other than beauty and hairdressing) starting before Easter and would get you a concession and you could apply for learner support funding.

And he never sticks at courses so im not sure its worth it....about 4 years ago he really wanted to get out of his job at school so decided he wanted to go on an intense 4 day course to get his MSCE my mum gave him the money which was about £2000 and he failed (along with the rest of the candidates) he was able to go and resit it as many time until he passes but he never did.
Then a couple of years later, he got to do the Cisco certification at school as they were a training center and he was teaching some of it lol. He did the first year then never bothered doing anymore. *sigh*I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

Ahh but everyone wants better. That is what it is about improving your life if thats through your health/belongings/surrounding. The world would be a sad place if every just accepted their lives and didn't strive for more :TBunnyinthelights wrote: »Whats up Pap? x

Pooky you are a true inspiration and I always feel bad when I moan ..after all the carp you and E are going through, none of which is his or your fault. He started applying for IT jobs all over the country which he still is, but he has applied for other jobs locally too, like a warehouse manager job (which he did 10+ years ago)
BB I wish he would do some courses, I think he would really like to do a professional qualification but I don't think any of them come with a concession. For example Microsoft Certified Engineer or the Cisco Engineer. I think doing another course like book keeping would be really beneficial though
The cisco course at our college is concessioned Sal. Does he have experience in this already, do you think he could teach IT at fe stage as this might be an avenue he could persue?
We have had to take 2 business lecturers on as we just couldnt get anyone to teach the IT courses. But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -
would he go for any job Sal? Continental Lanscapes here are taking on their casual staff from now on for the March to September season. I got my ex to apply to keep him going and he sent the form today. He said he wouldn't have a problem with doing that kind of work - it would be council grounds staff/gardening type work. I can PM you a contact if you think he would.
How about Advanced ECDL? That is pretty advanced stuff and Bournemouth are running it. I think they run the same rules as us for concessions etc.
